My daughter has had a wonderful experience at Academe of the Oaks so far. It's true that the classes are academically challenging, but the work has been engaging and stimulating for her and has pushed her thinking and creativity. She's made good friends, the teachers and administration are wonderful, and the foreign exchange program has been a highlight of her high school career.

Academe of the Oaks has been wonderfully nurturing and an exceptional learning environment for our son. The School Director and educators are dedicated to the enrichment of the students; and they go out of their way to support each individual. We feel privileged to be part of the Academe community.

If I could give Academe 10 stars, I would!! Our daughter transferred from a bigger public school and immediately began appreciating the smaller class sizes. Our daughter was stretched beyond the educational norm and pushed outside of her comfort zone. The balance of classwork, homework, group projects, and application to the real world is perfectly balanced here. As a parent, I appreciate the curriculum and rigor at Academe. We feel very confident sending her off to college knowing her high school experience laid an amazing foundation. I also like the community culture the school creates. Our daughter has relationships with her teachers and friends that will last a lifetime.

My daughter's education at Academe of the Oaks was all-encompassing. The academics were challenging for her, and the breadth of learning experiences offered was wonderful, especially for a small school. The creative, visual, and performing arts and additional opportunities to do sports allow for each student to find a niche for themselves, and to receive a true liberal arts education and preparation for adulthood. There is a culture that promotes critical thinking and exploration. I think one of the most significant benefits of attending Academe of the Oaks is seen in the commitment of the faculty to get to know each student and create a learning environment that is kind, respectful, playful, and enriching. There is a true sense of belonging and looking out for one another at Academe of the Oaks. We will be forever grateful to all the adults at Academe for providing our daughter with a beautiful safe place to learn and grow during her high school years.

Academe was one of the best investments made for our daughter. She was able to flourish in this environment with supportive faculty and staff. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for how they prepared her for the next level. The strong humanities and science departments provided her with a solid foundation. She made Dean's List both semesters at the College of Wooster. I highly recommend Academe to anyone looking for an alternative to their local high school. Proud Parent of a Class of 2022 student!

Academe of the Oaks is one of the best school i know. the teachers and administrative staffs are like part of a family for the students. The quality of the school in every department is best!

Our son graduated in May 2022, during the waning days of the pandemic. His high school career was shut down his sophomore year, and Academe - the teachers, the administration, and the staff - all rose to this challenge in remarkable ways. Our son currently attends Oglethorpe University and often tells us how much Academe prepared him for the workload there. The school was very difficult in those dark days and each teacher worked closely with each of their students to shepherd them through a vastly changing environment with serious intention, humor, flexibility, and love. Our son would not be who or where he is if it were not for Academe of the Oaks, and our entire family is so grateful.

Academe of the Oaks has truly been transformational for my daughter and our family. It's a small and very inclusive environment that allows students to feel safe and comfortable with being themselves as they learn. We are all different; learn differently, and see things differently - and Academe embraces this individualism with how they teach. There are several good high schools in Atlanta, but I would implore any family that is looking to at least visit Academe and let your student engage with the students of Academe, and I think you will see for yourselves.

My sister is a founding teacher at Academe of the Oaks. She is compassionate, smart, and involved, has a chemistry Ph.D., was a college professor, and is one of the teachers at Academe. Other Academe teachers have master's, and PhDs, are from other countries, love their area of study, and are compassionate. Academe faculty have chosen to spend their lives immersing our children in experiences. And the experiences, while directed at the mind & body are conducted by compassionate people who know their subject. The rigorous subject matter is experienced: advanced sciences, Shakespeare, on-campus bee-keeping, goats and chickens, and an organic garden, all cared for by the students. Group travel for culture, for science, and extended study abroad are part of the Academe life. And the faculty meet regionally and nationally to share and consider new approaches to the process. Four years of life immersed in learning by experience results in a person being curious and excited.

Academe has been a fabulous investment. Our student benefited from the small class size, hands-on experience and classroom debate, and opportunities to garden, keep bees, play music, and draw. Don't be fooled by the casual atmosphere. It's welcoming and supportive, but coursework is demanding. Teachers have very high standards for scholarship, personal responsibility, and kindness. Also, college/university admissions officers are keenly aware of the unique qualifications of Waldorf-educated students. Be prepared to talk to a lot of recruiters: there's big demand for independent young thinkers.

Academe of the Oaks prepared our child for the rigors of college. In addition, Academe helped foster a love of learning in our child, helped build leadership skills and personal character, and supported our child on a path to pursuing her passion. Our second child is now attending Academe, and we continue to be just as pleased.

Academe of the Oaks provide a rigorous academic program. The small environment is the perfect fit for our daughter. The curriculum is designed to promote learning and human development versus preparing for a standard test. We are amazed at the knowledge our daughter has acquired in one semester.

Academe is a wonderful school. They truly educate the whole child. In addition to setting high standards in intellectual, artistic, musical and social disciplines, this school truly is student focused. They do an extraordinary job of instilling a sense of responsibility to self and to the world. Teachers here are passionate, knowledgeable and invested in student's success.

Academe offers a unique approach to high school which includes a fresh approach to teaching that prepares students for future academic work. Students receive more individualized attention than is available at more traditional, larger schools. Academe is situated on a beautifully landscaped campus that include flower, vegetable, and woodland gardens.

Excellent school-- warm, supportive atmosphere, lots of enriching challenges for the students. High quality of teacher instruction, parental involvement, and administrative leadership.
