  • Alpharetta International Academy (AIA) is a private, nonprofit Montessori school serving children from 18 months through Grade 8.
  • We provide a thoughtfully prepared, nurturing learning environment where children are inspired to grow with confidence, belonging and purpose. At AIA, each program is designed as a multi-age Montessori community where children develop independence, curiosity, compassion and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Our experienced, long-tenured Montessori educators are passionate about working with children and deeply committed to their continued professional growth through ongoing training, continuing education and participation in national Montessori conferences.
  • AIA was founded by Dixie Oliver, whose career began as an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher. With more than 25 years of leadership in the Montessori community, she has helped establish Montessori schools and train educators around the world.
  • Head of SchoolSarah Prosserbrings more than 16 years of Montessori teaching and administrative experience to AIA. Her Montessori journey began as a parent in the classroom and grew into a passion for Montessori education and leadership.
