Baltimore Lab School doesn''t just meet students where they are. It starts there and pushes from that exact point. The approach is holistic by design, treating each kid as a whole person rather than a set of test scores, with social-emotional support built into the daily fabric rather than offered as an afterthought. We currently have a 10th grader there, and our older one just finished their first year at University of Maryland studying architecture without missing a beat.

My son (AuDHD) struggled in general education and had no social life at our neighborhood school. Thx to Lab School, he is now reading, and learning math, science, and social studies through creative and interactive lessons. The teachers have expertise in how to instruct children with learning differences, and the classes are small. He loves doing art projects and performed on stage in their talent shows and spring productions. My son also now has a social circle and friends, and participates in after-school clubs. I used to worry about whether he would have a real shot at a productive and fulfilling life; now I have much more hope that he''ll find his way.

Baltimore Lab School is a wonderful school! My son landed there in middle school, after so many disheartening experiences. He needed something the public schools simply could not provide. His recovery began when he arrived and has been ongoing. His skills and confidence are constantly growing and his ability to ask for what he needs is amazing. Small class sizes, compassionate teachers and excellent structure on all levels. Best decision we have ever made!

BLS has been amazing for our highly dyslexic child. Our child came in with a 3+ year reading deficit but has made full year gains every year since entering BLS. The arts integration into all academic subjects, the "adulting" classes, the innovation Wednesdays, the senior year internships have all helped keep him engaged and learning. The overnight trips (with a history or college exploration themes) have helped him mature. Love this school.

I am excited to share my review for the Baltimore Lab School. The school is an amazing place for all ages, and offers rich learning and growth opportunities. From the Administration to the Teachers, to the assistants and staff, everyone is very supportive and nurturing. There is a balanced focus on education, and the small class sizes help to address the needs of each student. The building is inspirational as well, and that helps alot... We are so happy with our experience at the Lab!
