We started at Bosque this year -- my son is in 9th grade. It has been a wonderful experience. His teachers have been incredible -- they challenge him but are also available for any assistance he might need. We are delighted with the drama and the music programs, and the clubs he has joined round out his experience nicely. Bosque has proven to live up to its excellent reputation -- a place for young people to be enriched in all aspects of their lives, academically, intellectually, and creatively. I could not recommend Bosque higher.

I initially penned a rave review of my child's experience when she enrolled in Bosque school, and I think it's time to report on her current experience, now headed into the eighth grade. The magic of Bosque resides in the mutual commitment by the "staff" to nurture the entirety of the student from a social, emotional, and intellectual standpoint. With each coming year, my daughter has enjoyed participating in a wide array of clubs, sports, and community outreach. She's established a reading tutoring partnership with an elementary school student, starred in school musicals and performances, played on tennis and volleyball teams, earned awards for mock trials, enjoyed hands-on environmental science projects in the surrounding natural landscape, worked diligently on her Spanish, surrounded herself with, honestly, too many friends to handle, and so much more. As parents, it was our hope that our daughter would find herself so enveloped in scholastic and extra-curricular activities during her teenage years that she'd never have time to, well, get in the kind of trouble that we did, at her age. We're more than happy to report that she's so wrapped up in Bosque school life, she now needs to be especially picky about where and when to expend her creative energies. We're watching a holistic, kind, enthusiastic kid become a socially committed member of greater society, and we give Bosque school most of that credit. I mean, we get a little of it, too, right?

I am deeply grateful for the positive and nurturing environment at Bosque School, which has been instrumental in my son's growth during middle school. Ms. Goodmann has fostered a safe and understanding atmosphere that encourages him to embrace learning without fear. Her kindness and compassion have notably helped him develop a healthier relationship with math. Mr. Minkus has created a classroom environment where my son feels free to express himself and explore new ideas, boosting his confidence and love for learning. The dedicated staff and faculty at Bosque School genuinely care for their students and their development. I can't recommend Bosque School enough for providing such a supportive educational experience.

My daughter transferred to Bosque her junior year and the school could not have been more welcoming or done more to easer her with the transition. The head of the school, Jessie Barrie, has personally checked in with both me and her on various occasions, and the communication from the school has been top-notch. We are very pleased with the Bosque community.

My daughter has really enjoyed the beginning of her first year at Bosque. She loves her classes and is making friends. Staff has been incredibly supportive. Everyone seems to want what is best for her and willing to do whatever is needed to meet her needs. We feel very lucky to have her at Bosque.

Our 6th grader is loving his Bosque life! He is really enjoying his schoolmates and teachers and getting into the groove of Google Classroom. It's great having a middle-schooler who's actually excited to get up and go to school! Nerves were gone by day two, thanks to the amazing staff! Our family and friends (and us!) had a blast at the Fall Fiesta! The community and joy at Bosque are contagious and everyone falls in love with it. The campus is beautiful and you can tell everyone is happy to be there! Our son is having a great time on the golf team and with Coaches Tara and Dave! He's eager to learn more from them and get more competitive. He's also looking forward to trying other sports and impatiently awaiting the chance to play baseball for Bosque! Thank you for your vision and enthusiasm!

Switching from public to private school, my biggest worry was my son's academic performance and managing his homework load. 6 weeks into the school year we have received 2 emails from his teachers about missing or incomplete work already. While there is definitely room to grow, from my home perspective, I see him managing his work and taking responsibility and self-initiative for homework better than I expected. I can see that he is motivated to become part of this school and tries to do his best. The teacher's emails are direct but kind. They offer help and take time to support him. The school has an awesome program teaching kids about executive functioning skills and strategies, which makes a huge difference.

Our son is a 6th grader at Bosque and is loving the school so far. He comes home daily saying "School was great, Mom & Dad!" He is enjoying the connection with students, teachers, and his advisor. We are so pleased with the school thus far and are excited for the rest of the year, and the activities therein.

Bosque School was the perfect place for my son who graduated a couple of years ago. His teachers were experienced, inspiring, and loved their students. The location is gorgeous -- in the bosque around the Rio Grande -- and the school gets students out in the woods doing science experiments, observing plants and animals, and appreciating their wild surroundings.My son was extremely well-prepared for college after graduating from Bosque School. In addition to his academic preparation and his athletic achievements, his experience at Bosque contributed to his social and emotional development so that he was well-equipped to be successful and independent at a major university. I can't say enough good things about this school!

Our child has been at Bosque School since 2019 (eighth grade). We homeschooled our child from first grade through seventh grade. There was never a question in our mind that we would send them to any other school in the city. Bosque School is the correct size and has, a wonderful curriculum that fits our child's intellect very well. The staffulty is very dedicated to the educational paradigm Bosque embodies. I have no reservations in recommending Bosque School.

For parents considering middle or high school in the Albuquerque area, I would highly recommend Bosque School. We chose it for the excellent academics, and also because of their "whole" child approach, which fosters intellectual, emotional, and social capacities. We love the field science "BEMP" program which provides real world data collection experience for the kids. The campus is beautiful, the athletics program is great and there is a wonderful, engaged parent community.

Our children received a wonderful education at Bosque School. Along with the amazing education, they were allowed many opportunities to explore activities outside the classroom, including sports, science, and student government. The combination of education and activities prepared them for college and beyond.

We could not be more pleased with our decision to enroll our student at Bosque School! From the nurturing faculty, the inclusive community, the demanding/rigorous academics--that inspire creative inquiry, the out-of-this-world performing arts programs, the unmatched experiences both in and outside the classroom, the list goes on... Our children, along with all of their classmates thrive at Bosque--where they become well-prepared to face and succeed in the world!

We have 2 kids attending Bosque and both truly love the school. They feel it's an environment where they feel empowered and challenged at the same time. The inquiry-based curriculum along with the ability to move the educational environment out of the classroom and into nature is a feature both have enjoyed. They get to read about the subject and then go outside and study it. Bosque has enough flexibility to appeal to both of my children, one whom is more humanities-based and fascinated with languages and arts while the other is more intrigued by STEM courses. It is great to have a school that has helped allow them to be individuals and grow into the type of person and student they want to be while still fostering a stellar academic experience and environment. It is always a joy when you have a teenager that wants to go to school.

As a parent and educator, I have been extremely happy with Bosque School for my children. I think what sets it apart is the meaningful and engaging curriculum and the phenomenal staff. Rather than depending on textbooks and memorization, the faculty and school excel at engaging the students in active and purposeful learning with many projects, field trips, and hands-on experiences. The atmosphere is positive, friendly, nurturing, and inclusive. The philosophy and practices focus on the whole child.

Bosque was the perfect choice for my son. The community, support, academics, student body, sports, it's all just been wonderful. He is interested in school, excited, and challenged. I can't say enough about how excited I am for him and impressed with the Bosque, even beyond the beautiful campus.

Bosque School offers a beautiful campus that is the perfect learning environment. Students are immersed in wildlife. The staff and administration are knowledgeable about your student, tailor activities and academics and provide excellent regular communication. The in-depth education provided at Bosque is unmatched within Albuquerque. Bosque School thoughtfully curated what it takes to academically, mentally, and physically appeal to top colleges over the 7 years.

If you need convincing, tour this school. Speak to an educator, a student, or one of the dedicated staff members, and learn about their philosophy of nurturing the curiosity and love of learning, together. This is what makes Bosque special, and beyond the fray of the typical regimented ²ÝÁñÉçÇø institution; this school not only prepares young minds for a lifetime of learning, they sustain the youthful hunger to live in the moment, always ask Why, and do Good in the world around them. To that end, the doing Good, this school is also special for providing financial scholarships to a majority of its students. We're recipients, and with their help, we're able to provide our daughter with a world-class education, something we honestly doubted could ever happen. Bosque is authentic, grounded, connected to its environment and community, and worth every penny. Like I said, visit. You'll believe it.

We were looking for a school that was designed differently, with a focus on all things "pro-student" as well as a strong sense of community. Bosque School has checked ALL of these boxes and more! Our son loves the atmosphere and "Staffulty". He is challenged daily with his classes, but not overwhelmed. His academic focus has experienced a positive 180-degree shift from where he was previously. The daily environment includes progressive education approaches and a focus on developing critical thinking. The overall diversity, smaller student body, and beautiful open campus have given him new-found peace of mind and confidence vs. the overcrowded, "tough" public school settings he had previously been in. Highly recommend!

Bosque School has been amazing for our daughter. She started 6th grade this summer and has adjusted to middle school with ease and joy. Every day she comes home happy and full of stories about her school day. We are so grateful for this wonderful community!

Bosque is truly the best school in Albuquerque. It is the best school not only because of the top-notch facilities and academic structure but mostly due to a staff that`s dedicated and kind. Our family is so grateful for all the help and warmth the Bosque faculty has shown our family during the admission process! They have made my son's transition into a new school and new grade such a worry-free and smooth process, he truly loves attending Bosque. He is so excited about all the upcoming events, new opportunities, and different activities this school provides. We can`t express our gratitude enough to the faculty for making what could have been a stressful experience, into a welcoming and memorable one. Bosque has something for everyone; regardless of your child`s interest or personality, Bosque will be there to make them feel valued and help them to grow to their fullest potential.

Best school. Gives such a whole person education. My kids love getting up to go to school, Middle school, and high school. They are being challenged. The teachers and administration treat you like family, it is a community-based environment that causes so much growth.

My son is in his second year at Bosque School. He absolutely loves it! I can not think of anything more worthy, than the investment in our children's education. And I could not be more pleased with our choice of schools! Their mission: "To create transformative learning experiences that empower a diverse community of students to lead lives of intellectual curiosity, personal integrity, and compassionate contribution to a more just world" could not be more fitting, given what is going on in our world today. Something worth striving for. Bosque School's commitment to community is obvious in everything they do and extends well beyond their campus. The holistic approach to the wellness of all their students, and their families, is at the forefront of the students' well-rounded education. I have had the privilege of experiencing this first hand; Bosque's ability to pivot to ensure that students are safe and stay healthy during this COVID pandemic, to immediately start a Community Commitment Fund to support families hit by the economic crisis caused by this same pandemic and today, pivoting again to help our students pause and process, after what took place at our Capital Building yesterday.I am proud to be a member of this community. I wholeheartedly recommend that you look at Bosque School, as you consider the future and the education of your child(ren).

We have been a Bosque family since 2010 with our daughter who graduated in 2017; our son graduates in 2021; and another daughter in 2025. Yes, the academic experience is solid & meaningful. The "extras" have been incredibly impactful (drama, technical theater, art, service learning, college counseling). But the thing I appreciate the most (and is well worth the financial priority) is that Bosque faculty & staff honor the souls of our children. Our children & their Bosque peers grow into young people I enjoy. They are articulate, thoughtful & confident. Academically they are well prepared for college and beyond. Emotionally, they are well prepared for life!!

We were impressed with everything we kept learning about Bosque, through friends' children that have attended, the research we did on our own, and with what the faculty had to say when we met with them. Our son applied for early admission into 6th grade last year and it was a relief to know that he was accepted so we didn't have to worry about it during the spring (especially since Covid hit at that time). Starting a new school would be daunting under any circumstances, but as has happened for so many kids, beginning remotely is its own surreal experience for students and parents alike. Bosque's communication through emails and videos was exceptional. Holding "Back to School Night" online, in videos we could access anytime, was particularly helpful. It gave us, as parents, a chance to see each of our son's teachers and get a feel for what his classes might look like. A transition to Hybrid learning. when our son began attending in person two days a week, and remotely 2 days a week, was much more seamless than I was anticipating. Our family could not be more pleased with the school our child has chosen, nor more impressed with how the school has navigated these unique times & circumstances.

We are so happy to be part of the Bosque School community. From the start, we have felt an unprecedented welcome, warmth, and support from the Bosque School staffulty (staff/faculty) and fellow families. We were unsure we would be able to attend the Bosque School due to financial concerns, but there are options available to meet many levels of need, and the admission process is straightforward, highly structured, thoroughly explained, and more than adequately supported through school outreach via email, phone, website, Zoom, and (pre-COVID) in-person meets. The staffulty is extremely accessible, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our academic experience here has been similarly fluid, changing to meet the requirements of the environment at large, as well as our family's specific needs. We entered as a new family in 2020, and the academic year started in a remote model due to COVID-19 restrictions/concerns. The school has since moved to a hybrid model, and so my son has been able to explore the campus and meet his teachers and fellow students face-to-(masked)-face. Throughout these changes, the Bosque School has impressed, maintaining rigorous academic expectations while remaining open and responsive to individual student and family needs.I cannot say enough in praise of this challenging, supportive school community. Bosque is an excellent choice of schools. Small class sizes and individual attention help students thrive. Community service is a priority. The inquiry-based curriculum connects students to the real world beyond the classroom walls! We enjoy watching our child grow academically and socially at Bosque!

We love Bosque; it is all we hoped for our daughter's education and more! The teachers and staff take a unique perspective for each student, putting in place programs and support to allow each to succeed. This is our daughter's last year, on to College, but we know Bosque has given her the best foundation for her future success. Thank you Bosque!!

Bosque school has helped my child grow in confidence, become aware of her values, and inspired her to use her skills and talents to serve the world around her. The inquiry model has allowed her to engage in learning in a way that allows real time hands on learning, research, and data collecting. She has gained an appreciation for how each class relates to the other and how they contribute to society. She has learned that every individual matters and has a part to play in the community. She has learned to appreciate NM, the land, where she is from. The teacher's are of the highest quality with sincere devotion.

We absolutely love being a part of Bosque and we feel so blessed that our daughter is able to attend school there. She has the best educational experiences she has ever had. She is more involved in school than she has ever been, and it has been great to see her open up in this way. She has made great friends and loves all her teachers. She actually wants to talk to me about school when she comes home!

Bosque is a place for kids to thrive. Bosque has a growth mindset in pursuit of excellence. Students can be artists, athletes, and academics- as most are through high school. It is all valued. There is a high level of respect on campus. It is a developmental need for kids to be actively involved in community service as they try to find their place in the world. Bosque does an amazing job of facilitating this with students. I believe that as our children "give birth to themselves" in adolescents, it is profound what they learn about who they are in the community that they live in and that they have a connection to a greater purpose. Bosque curriculum allows for enhanced, deep learning. It uses the inquiry method to engage students and best prepare them with skills for the future. For 7th grade, my daughter had an English/History project where she interviewed a family member about a family artifact, researched the artifact and its context in history. They wrote about the importance of the artifact and family stories. Students then presented. They learned an appreciation for a variety of backgrounds among friends and community. It was a beautifully layered project that also gave context for NM History. In science, they did a watershed project that culminated in a watershed congress with schools from around the state. It is such rich, deep learning. My oldest child attended a different local private school that was more about surviving than thriving. Sadly, that school has really lost its way under the newer head of school and allowed an insidiously toxic culture to develop. Upon this realization, we moved to Bosque and are so glad we did!

My daughter was lucky enough to attended Bosque School from 6th to 12 th grade. In that time time she received a wonderful high quality education that has prepared her for college and the future. The campus is beautiful and inviting, the teachers are caring, passionate and involved with all their students. It has a warm and inclusive environment and a challenging curriculum. We couldn`t be happier with the education our daughter obtained at this wonderful school.

I am going into my senior year at Trinity University, prior to my time at Trinity I spent 7 amazing years at Bosque. At times it could feel too small but with three years of perspective I`ve realized what a gift that was for the development of relationships both with faculty and friends and in fact it lead me to seek out a small university. For example, the head master while I attended now resides in the same city as I do and I still get to see him frequently. I am truly grateful for my time at Bosque and feel like it prepared me exceptionally for college especially in regards to writing and reading. In my freshman writing seminar in college we covered things Bosque taught me in 8th grade. I can not speak highly enough of this school and the kind, generous faculty and staff that work there. Thank you Bosque.

There are many things I really like about bosque not only as a school but as a community. It`s a very accepting place that not only is open to diversity but seeks it out. It attempts to seek out every different voice in a problem and that is something I admire quite a lot. I like the sense of a community that surrounds bosque in the way that everybody is aceptes and welcomed and has they`re own support system. There are only a couple of things I don`t like about bosque. That is the drop off of students from middle school to high school. I think that is due to the curriculum and while it`s good information I think the teachers are encouraged to hold the hand of students too much throughout the system. There is no real danger in not doing your work in middle school and I think that is something that can be improved apon. I also don`t like the fact that winterums seem to be scaled back every year because I think Wintermute is a great program. I think that this program should be supported because it is a very helpful way for students to learn in different environments and about different perspectives.
