While this school is an excellent program it isn't affordable for everyone. There is a $275 non-refundable application fee, that I didn't find on the website. The grant, at most, covers $9500 leaving a monthly cost of $425 plus another $200 fee the first month. I applied in March, expressed concerns about the cost, was reassured that they had lots of sponsors so no child should have to worry. I didn't get a final answer until the week before school started in August that I needed to pay $625 to get started. I explained that was more than I could afford, that there was some miscommunication. I was told rudely that if I didn't want this, there are plenty of kids who would love to come to the school. Yea, us too. Because of the time to process and the misunderstanding I'm out $275 my family could use and had to scramble to get my son into another school after the semester already started. Very good school but only if you can afford it.

We absolutely love Bynum, we tried 5 other schools in our district and all of them were a huge disappointment. At Bynum my daughter is seen as more than just a number she is valued member of the school. Her teachers Mrs Melody and Mrs Sally are phenomenal instructors. They take the time to build a learning plan that suits my daughters level and needs. The price is well worth the sense of peace and security Bynum has given our family.
