School Notes

  • Fayette Christian School is a ministry of Fayette Bible Church.
  • FCS offers a Christ-centered, traditional style education for grades Pre-School through 12th.
  • Fayette Christian School believes that athletics play a vital role in the overall education of our students.
  • A sports program is an excellent opportunity to exercise bodies, experience healthy competition, and learn valuable principles of commitment and teamwork.
  • Most importantly, though, athletics provide the chance to instill and practice godly character.
  • This is the primary focus of the Crusader athletic department.
  • From classroom to competition and from practicing to playing, our student-athletes are expected to take their coaches' instruction and implement it into playing skill, behavior, and character.
  • The goal of the elementary program at FCS is to establish a solid foundation in academic skills and understanding in light of God's Word.
  • Through a structured and disciplined program, our desire is to see the students learn the principles as well as the facts.
  • The end product is not to gain a mere knowledge of material, but an understanding of fundamental objectives.
  • In the reading curriculum, we seek to give students phonics-based approach while emphasizing comprehension.
  • Those two elements are very important to the reading concept.
  • Not only do students have proper word attack skills, but also they attain meaning of the reading material through a variety of acquired skills taught in our classes.
  • Such skills include learning vocabulary, evaluating characters in stories, comparing/contrasting, and many more.
  • These skills go beyond the literal recall level to a higher thinking level of comprehension and understanding.

School Reviews

Fayette Christian School is a light in our county. They do so many outreach ministries like honoring first responders, veterans, grandparents, and pastors, and they are also involved in AMVETS and Operation Christmas Child. The academics are commedible and the sports are competitive without being overly aggressive. But, above all, the teachers and pastors truly care about the students and about pouring into their lives to help them become godly men and women, equipping them to continue the ministry to be a light in our world. I highly recommend FCS.
