School Notes

  • Good Shepherd Lutheran School is just one of over 350 Lutheran elementary schools operated by congregations of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
  • The WELS has a long tradition of high academic quality in its elementary schools and has operated such schools for over 150 years.
  • Today over 27,000 children receive a Christ-centered education in WELS schools which can be found in 27 states and two foreign countries and is the fourth largest private/parochial school system in America.
  • Good Shepherd Lutheran School, a ministry of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We are happy to provide a unique, Christ-centered educational experience for students in grades 3K, 4K and Kindergarten.
  • Our one-room school, with its limited enrollment of 12 students, is privileged to have served our community since 2005 and looks forward to each successive school year.
  • Our school provides a safe, family-like environment for students to learn. They get a lot of individual attention as they are in small class sizes. The multi-grade aspect allows students to learn things they typically wouldn't as they hear older students learning, while allowing older students to review what they've previously learned from younger students' lessons. They build strong independence and relationships with classmates of all ages. We also provide outdoor time every day.
