School Notes
- School Motto: Citizens of Culture and Courage
- School Mascot: Lynx
- For Preschool: In Nursery-3, students are fully immersed in French to build a strong foundation for the years ahead. In Pre-K and Kindergarten, classes are 80% in French and 20% in English. A French teacher leads most of the day with support of an assistant. Every day, a pair of English teachers lead each class in oral language and pre-literacy instruction in English. Students (and families!) with no French are welcome to be part the Lycee's 3s, pre-K and Kindergarten programs, as young minds pick up a second and even third language quite naturally.
- Preschool classes at the Lycee offer differentiated instruction, and students without formal French in their background are fully integrated into class with French-speaking students to help speed language-acquisition and socialization.
- In Elementary School:Beginning in first grade, classroom instruction takes place 80% in French and 20% in English, with students engaging in French, history, science and math with their French homeroom teacher, who is paired with an English-speaking teacher for Language Arts and special projects.
- Middle School: Entry point to Secondary school, the focus is on supporting students in developing the core knowledge, skills and the disposition to thrive in high school and beyond.
- High School: Focus is on preparation for higher education and beyond. Students prepare for French Baccalaureate, renowned for its rigor and depth-breadth of study, with both an international option offered that combine classic courses of the French curriculum with coursework offered in top independent schools, including the AP curriculum taught by US teachers.
- Lyce graduates attend top colleges and universities in the U.S. and around the world.

My son started in Nursery this year and he already loves the Lyce. Evolving in a pluricultural environment stimulates him a lot and the fact that English and French are, organically, two strong languages in the school makes a huge difference. His teachers are super sweet and the school itself offers a safe, colorful and welcoming environment. I highly recommend I'm a happy father.
