We are excited to offer an innovative look at our school. Instead of talking at you, we want to talk with you! We will start with a handful of parents (current, alumni, brand new, etc), teachers and administrators quickly introducing themselves and then you decide who you want to speak with to learn about Mack! There will be opportunities for you to share your family journey with those you speak with, if you choose. Our hope is that after this event you will be inspired to learn more and return to have a personal tour during the school day (if you haven't already toured!) to see the real magic of the students and teachers in action! Have you heard about The Orchard Center, Mackintosh Academy's literacy intervention program? Liz Rippey, our Director of Gifted Teaching and Learning, will be attending the Meet & Mingle and available to discuss our program. The Orchard Center has become an integral part of the Mack community. Serving about 15% of the Mack student body, The Orchard Center provides literacy-based Orton Gillingham intervention for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other literacy-based challenges. It's more than that though! Building executive functioning skills and confidence is a crucial part of the program. This event is designed for adults. We hope to meet you there!

Kindergarten Play Date for students applying to Kindergarten in 27-28. This Kindergarten play date takes the place of a full day of shadowing at Mackintosh Academy for our youngest applicants. Students will experience a condensed school day with a lot of choice and play time inside and out on our 23 acres! This event is a required and very important step in the admissions process, as we get to meet and spend time with your child(ren). Parents are welcome to stay for the first 30 minutes to meet with administrators while the children get settled with Mack faculty. Please return at 4:00 for pick up. Additional details will be sent to those who RSVP. Students attend one play date. Please reach out of you are unable to attend one of our play dates so we can discuss other options. We hope to meet you there!
