School Notes

  • Mapleton Montessori School is a place where life unfolds for young children in a beautifully prepared Montessori environment.
  • We believe children are capable of learning a great deal through their "work" and play.
  • In our classrooms, real life, age appropriate, purposeful activities foster that learning.
  • Mapleton Montessori School is a comfortable, safe, stimulating environment where young children grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. The Montessori Directresses, staff and an environment thoughtfully designed for young children provide the materials and guidance to help the child accomplish this.
  • Mapleton Montessori School is celebrating 44 years! We have a very dedicated, educated, nurturing staff of Montessori teachers and assistants, many of whom have been here over 20 years. We have two beautiful Montessori primary classrooms for 21/2-6 year old children and a wonderful, organic playground that offers opportunities for tending vegetable and flower gardens as well as multiple different areas for play: a big sandbox, a "messy" area for digging and building and a woodchip area with swings, slide, monkey bars geodesic dome and a trike path all around it. Each classroom has a deck so children are often seen working outside in good weather.
