The Montessori Academy was founded in 1982. Our current school facility was built in 1998, with an addtional classrooms, library, and gym added in recent years.
Our school was designed specifically for Montessori classroom needs.
We offer an authentic Montessori education with multi-age classrooms.
The Academy offers a nurturing and secure learning environment in Manheim Township on 10.5 acres of land.
We have student-tended gardens and a nature trail, and we are surrounded by farm life.
We also have beautiful outdoor playground areas designed with safety in mind.
-The Montessori Academy provides authentic Montessori education
for children 18 months through 6th grade on our beautiful 11 acre
campus. Our modern building was designed for Montessori classrooms,
and features recent upgrades and additions.
We offer full or part time programs for children 18 months - 5
years old. Our multi-age classrooms provide continuity and the
opportunity to learn from older peers or lead younger peers. Your
child will continue with the same teacher for three years at each
level (two for toddlers).
Our program focuses on teaching children independence and
fostering a lifelong love of learning. There is flexibility for
neurodiverse children.
We offer after school clubs for elementary students, which may
include such interests as knitting, chess, Chinese dance, drama,
art, and dolls. We also offer summer camp programs. In-school
enrichment includes art, music, PE, and Spanish.
Parent education and the parent community group are a strong
part of our community.
