About the School

  • Mt. Hope Lutheran School began in the fall of 1957 in the basement of the church with two Kindergarten classes and a plan to add one grade per year.
  • The first 3 grades were started in the fall of 1959 and near the end of that year new facilities were complete.
  • The fall of 1960 saw the beginning of 4th grade.
  • In 1961 a 5th grade was added and in 1962 a 6th grade was added.
