In June 2008, the Islamic School of Columbia-Missouri successfully met all the educational standards (measure of a school's effectiveness and a process of ongoing school improvement) held by the Missouri Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA), an affiliate of the National Federation of Nonpublic School State Accrediting Associations and recognized by the United States Office of Education and Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

At the Islamic School of Columbia Missouri (ISC-M) all students must successfully complete the requirements of core subjects (Math, Science, Social studies, Language Arts, Arabic, Qur'an and Islamic studies) and special subjects (Computer, Art, PE) in order to be promoted to the next grade level.

Al–salam Day School in Ballwin, MO, serves 333 students from pre–kindergarten through 12th grade in a suburban community setting.

Founded in 1990, the school operates with a student–teacher ratio of 9:1 supported by 37 teachers.

The school maintains an Islamic orientation with formal dress code policies and is accredited by Cognia and a member of the Islamic School League of America.

Al–salam Day School has a diverse student body with 80% students of color, ranking it among the top 20% of private schools in Missouri for diversity and student enrollment size.

The school offers co–educational regular elementary and secondary programs within the Ballwin suburbs.
