Schools have pivotal roles shaping the future, ensuring safety & fostering growth to our children. Attending Portland Christian Schools at the Jr.Sr.High has laid a new path before our child. To truly understand the impact Portland Christian has had in improving every aspect of our child's life you would've needed to know our history in the public school system. As the new kid the other students were welcoming. She had no problem making friends. She's had no issues being bullied. Their staff takes all issues serious. They don't let situations build up before intervening. I've never felt I was being bothersome when requesting things or asking questions. My child feels emotionally supported when having a down day. She's not trying to stay home anymore. She's trying new sports to be part of the team. She's the courageous confident kid she was before the pandemic. It's a true testament as to the dedication of the PCS staff and community. It's hard to find words to describe our gratitude.

Portland Christian is truly a special community. My son is a current 6th grader at PCS. We joined Portland Christian when he was in the 4th grade. He transitioned from the elementary campus to the Jr/Sr high campus this past fall. Prior to joining PC my son attended our neighborhood PPS elementary school. The academic, social and spiritual growth my son has experienced at Portland Christian has been amazing. The class sizes are small and the teachers, staff and administrators are unwavering in their dedication to the success of each child. It is very inspiring. The academic and extracurricular offerings, including arts, music and athletics, are impressive. We also very much appreciate the diversity of the PC community. PC has been a blessing to our family.

Our family has had the best experience having our child attend PCS HS. The small student to teacher classroom ratio has been very beneficial. The teachers and administrators at the school have all been very wonderful and helpful during our transition from public to private schooling. Our child is thriving being back in a classroom with both students and teachers with Christian values. I highly recommend Portland Christian Schools. Worth mentioning I have a friend who has a child at the elementary school and she loves it!

We chose to put enroll our son in PCS last year as a 6th grader. We moved here from CO where he grew up in an excellent school so our standards were high. PCS proved to be the absolute right choice for us. The teachers are highly qualified and skilled educators and are some of the kindest, most caring humans on the planet. They helped my son's transition to a new state, new city, new school , new classmates, etc. be as smooth and welcoming as possible. Which is saying something going into middle school! :-) This year they have a new jr. high/high school principal, Mrs. James, who has taught and been on staff at PCS for I think over 25 years. Already in her short time leading the charge this year we have seen an even more positive shift in the culture of the school. She leads remarkably well with such joy and kindness for every student. She is incredibly likeable and even more important, she is 100% reliable and knows what she's doing. We are so grateful to be a part of the PCS community and look forward to many more years there.
