Primrose Montessori was established in its current location in 1983 by Nancy Deskins.
Primrose Montessori contains a broad array of Montessori materials and activities.
We recognize that each child is a unique individual longing to develop.
Primrose Montessori is a place where children explore, unfold, and blossom.
Primrose Montessori is where children are prepared to begin their education for life.
Unique to the primary classroom are the concrete materials used to illustrate abstract ideas.
The activities fall into four major areas: practical life, sensorial, language, and mathematics.
Music, art, history, geography, gardening, physical education, and social graces are also part of the daily curriculum.
The children learn to work at tasks from the beginning to end, develop self-discipline and the capacity for concentration.
Courtesy, respect, and grace naturally develop as the child grows in the Montessori community.
The younger children are guided by the teacher and by observing and working with the other children.
