St. Marks is an excellent school to send your child. The students and teachers are caring a friendly. As an alumni of this school (I attended from Pre-K to 8th grade) I can vouch for the excellent academics. I always completed my work on time and got the support I needed, and I had an extremely personal experience. In public high school I am not completing my work on time and I feel like the teachers do not care whether I do well or not. I would give anything to return to St. Marks. The school does not offer many options for fine arts in middle school (students are given a choice between band or art; I chose band. My band class was an experience in itself, but I cannot say anything on the current music program - it has changed directors since my time there.), but athletics are pretty popular. There's not much stress on playing a sport, just a lot of support for the sports themselves, which leaves everyone with a lot of school spirit which translates into a pretty fun environment to attend school in. The middle school has a new building, which is absolutely beautiful and is chock full of all the amenities a middle school needs. From an adorable little library to the showpiece of the elementary and middle school, the new gymnasium, the new building is something to be proud of. If you want your children to receive the best education, public and private, you should send your children to St. Mark's.
