The Compass School of Texas is a co-ed, independent school in Dallas, Texas.
Our mission is to equip students with a strong academic foundation that fosters analytical thinking, instills the joy of learning in a wholesome environment, and inspires the pursuit of purpose.
We nurture well-rounded students who exhibit academic excellence and a spirit of creative exploration and innovation.
At the Compass School of Texas, each day is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child.
In addition to traditional core subjects, students engage in daily Spanish and explore nature and science through hands-on investigations.
Real world skills are integrated into the curriculum with Financial Fundamentals and our signature Farm-To-Table program.
In Middle School these programs continue to evolve through Pioneers of Purpose.
The course is centered on Leadership and Executive Functioning, Financial Fundamentals, Life Lab, and Social Impact.

Every day at Compass inspires curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Students engage in outdoor learning and enjoy meaningful play on our beautiful playscapes. At The Compass School of Texas, we cultivate curious minds, compassionate hearts, and confident citizens. Our approach is designed to nurture the whole child through: Inquiry-Based Learning Educators inspire students to follow their curiosities, encouraging students to think critically about the questions that arise in classroom conversations. This guides curriculum and gives students agency over their own learning. Hands-On Learning Students actively engage with the course material through different mediums. Additionally, outdoor learning is integral to the curriculum. Students spend time exploring nature, learning about ecosystems, developing physical confidence, and finding joy outdoors. Interwoven Subjects Cross-curricular learning gives students a deeper understanding of the material. They make connections between lessons in different subjects, such as making food from a country studied in history or designing DaVinci inspired contraptions in art. Data-Driven Instruction Small class sizes with a 9:1 student/teacher ratio allows for targeted instruction for each child, based on continual qualitative and quantitative assessments throughout the year. Real-world Application We invite expert speakers to share wisdom that directly applies to classroom content. Additionally, the business field trip series gives students opportunities to have firsthand interactions with professionals in the workplace.
