I attended The Hudson School for middle school, and was very pleased with the experience. The size of the school makes each student feel more connected to one another, and really gives the school a more relaxed environment. No matter which grade you join Hudson, making friends is practically effortless. My only complaint of the school is how apathetic my teachers were when it came to applying to different high schools. Balancing the work load while applying to various high schools was pretty stressful. (We generally received 2-4 hours of homework per night.) However, I will admit that the work load prepared me for high school. Although the homework load was quite tedious, I would have to strongly disagree with the comments describing the students body as "average". As far as my experience went, I was surrounded by many people who challenged me daily. The students were ambitious, but not competitive. Almost everyone I knew was willing to take out a few minutes of their lunch period to help a fellow peer prepare for an upcoming test or assignment. Overall, I absolutely would recommend Hudson to anyone who is willing to handle the stress for an otherwise flawless school experience.

I am currently a student at The Hudson school and have been since 9th grade. Ever since I visited as a student for a day I have felt sincerely welcome. The student body is very diverse with people from many cultures and with varied interests. The teachers and administrators are immensely accommodating and actually want their students to succeed. This is in comparison to my experience in public schools where teachers taught to the standardised tests and students were often left in the dust. This is the only place I''ve actually felt as though I''ve been able to achieve something good academically. In my opinion, everyone should get an education like what is offered at Hudson.
