Teacher Appreciation Week hits differently when you''ve found the right place for your child.This week, my heart is full - and these photos say everything words can''t.Our family found The St. Anthony School in Carrollton, TX, and it changed everything. As a mom of a son with learning differences, I spent years hoping for a community that would see him, not just manage him. TSAS does more than that. They celebrate him. They challenge him. They''re preparing him for the next steps in life, and I couldn''t be more grateful.From the Picnic on the Playground to the student-run Momentum Snack Shack - this school builds real-world skills, confidence, and joy into every part of the school day.The community dinners, the smiling staff, the families gathered under the trees... this is what a school family looks like.To every teacher, counselor, therapist, and staff member at TSAS - thank you. What you do is a calling. And it shows in every interaction, every individualized plan, and every moment you pour into our kids.

Our experience at The St. Anthony School has been truly life-changing for our entire family. Before coming here, school was something my son endured. Now it's something he actually looks forward to. He walks in with confidence, a sense of belonging, and the feeling that he isn't just tolerated - he is genuinely accepted for who he is. Socially and emotionally, the transformation has been profound. He has matured, learned how to navigate his feelings, and built real relationships. Behaviorally, he is calmer, more regulated, and far more self-aware. The structure, warmth, and understanding the staff bring to each child is something you can feel the moment you walk through the doors. Academically, we are seeing growth we never saw in public school. For the first time, he is being challenged and supported enough to rise up. One of the things he loves most are the Level 4 activities - movie days, free play days, Switch days - all of the little motivators that give him something to work toward throughout the week. Those rewards don't just make him happy, they motivate him to stay engaged, focused, and proud of his progress. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Every single person at St. Anthony genuinely knows our kids. They don't see behaviors, they see children. Mrs. Tyler and Mrs. Andrea have had such a positive impact on my son by understanding his needs, pushing him gently, and always leading with patience and kindness. That kind of care changes a child. The ripple effect at home has been enormous. Our household is calmer. Mornings are no longer full of dread. Evenings aren't filled with emotional crashes from a day spent just trying to survive. Our family finally feels more peaceful, more content, less chaos, more connection. St. Anthony didn't just change my son's school experience, it changed the quality of life for our entire family. We are beyond grateful to be part of this community.

Our son came to TSAS from public school. We had long struggled with teachers and administrators in public school with lack of understanding of our son's condition and needs. We had considered making the change to TSAS for a while and we are so glad that we did. The teachers and staff at TSAS have a much greater understanding and knowledge base regarding autism, anxiety, etc. Our son always struggled with school refusal, sensory overwhelm, and anxiety. Since being at TSAS, we have seen big changes in our son. He is calm, confident and excited about school. He loves coming to school each day and finally has friends to play with. We are so happy to have our son at TSAS. It has been a game changer.

We had the privilege of moving here for our son during COVID and had nothing short of an exemplary experience. Staff retention and people who truly want to help your child is what you get. They've stepped up their extracurriculars with offering basketball and kickball along with different clubs. My son will be graduating this year and feel this school has offered my son a great education but, more importantly an environment where he was loved and supported every day.

My son went from home schooling to High School at St. Anthony. It was a great experience for us. When I toured schools I made sure to focus on expressing the areas where my son struggled the most, and all schools referred us to St Anthony. We did struggle going from home school to a school with different teachers and many students, but the staff at St Anthony was very supportive and guided us, and we got through it. He spent all 4yrs at St. Anthony, and it help him grow and they supported him and guided him in achieving his own goals. He graduated from St. Anthony with 30 college credits and now he is at UNT. He has great memories from high school, from outings, teachers and peers.

Our son attended St. Anthony for roughly eight years. What a blessing this school has been, with teachers and admin who understand the challenges of having a child on the spectrum. The public school system, while well intentioned, just didn't have the resources or training to help our son. We found St. Anthony's to be a nurturing and caring school, always communicating with us on the good days and the tough days. We feel our son now has the skill set to succeed post graduation and are excited for his future. We are grateful that St. Anthony exists. They help the community in so many ways.

My daughter has been with The St. Anthony School since 4th grade, and now she is in 9th grade. What a transformation journey it has been over the years, and we have never looked back. This place has been like a second home for her. She still misses her elementary and middle school teachers, especially Ms. Debbie and Ms. April, who have played such an important role in her life and helped her with her self-confidence and discipline, and Mr. Harry and Ms. Ana, who were always there to support her. As she moved to high school, she has matured even more with support from staff like Ms. Michaela, Ms. Jennifer, Coach Chuck, Mr. Elkin, and Ms. Julia. She has learned to make new friendships and looks forward to going to school every day. In addition, Mr. Derek and Ms. AJ have been such wonderful support whenever we have any concerns or questions about anything. We continue to look forward to seeing more positive growth in her over the next few years.

We are beyond grateful to have found The St. Anthony School. After attending several other schools, we finally landed at a place that truly understands and supports our son. The staff at TSAS has been incredible, consistently demonstrating patience, understanding, and expertise in working with our son. He has flourished in an environment that recognizes his unique strengths and challenges, and we've seen noticeable growth in his academic, social, and emotional development. Our son started at The St. Anthony School as a 6th grader. He has grown socially, academically, and behaviorally. When he started, he was having several behaviors a week in school and was not enjoying his days. Since starting TSAS, he thoroughly enjoys going each day and seeing his friends and his teachers. They support him in ways he hasn't experienced before in school. They meet him where he is each day. TSAS offers after-school clubs, which provide an extra chance for socialization. As a mom of a neurodivergent child, I am so happy he has a safe space to explore different activities that he is interested in. Mrs. Tyler, his sixth-grade teacher for math and science, has been especially supportive this year. We have seen a large growth in his academic success due to his ability to practice math skills in a way that makes sense to him. Mornings are easy! Seeing our son excited and engaged at school has been such a blessing to us. We can't recommend their program enough!

The St. Anthony School changed our lives for good! After trying two different schools, we landed at The St. Anthony a year ago and are so grateful, as this school truly understands and cares for the development and wellbeing of neurodivergent kids. My son comes back from school excited about what he learned and was able to make friends with similar interests. His self-awareness and confidence have grown thanks to the structured approach of the school. They have a system that reinforces positive behaviors, tolerance, and respect for others while challenging them to stay focused and continuously learn. He loves the after-school clubs and has enjoyed a variety of activities such as chess, music, Pokemon, and robotics. The field trips and special activities on Fridays are also helpful to keep him engaged. The staff is approachable and always willing to provide support, either through feedback or even sharing resources. All the teachers have been amazing. I'd like to thank specifically Mrs. Tyler and Mrs. April for your support in his development. This school is managed with passion and dedication to the holistic development of children.

My overall experience at TSAS was great. TSAS helped me grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I made a lot of good friends at TSAS and got a lot of support in areas that I needed. TSAS really helped in boosting my confidence and I learned I'm capable of anything I put my mind too. I learned that it is okay to ask for help and I overall just feel more confident in myself and my abilities. I wish that I found TSAS just a year earlier so that I could have had my whole high school experience at there.

My time here at TSAS was a lot of fun. I came here needing support, and this place helped me figure out what I needed to do, and help me become the person I am today. Toward the end of my time here, I was holding down two jobs while doing high school, which I wouldn't have been able to do when I first started here.

Our son Johnny attended Saint Anthony School for grades 7–12. We were seeking and praying for a school that understood autistic children and would provide both a safe environment but strive to lift Johnny to new academic and behavioral heights. We felt like we found a special package with The Saint Anthony School—we felt like it was an answer to our prayers.We have seen Johnny grow academically, behaviorally, and emotionally. The school designed a curriculum that allowed him to go at his speed while simultaneously allowing him to fully participate in class activities. Further, the daily coaching card system that the school employs allowed for my wife and I to see his behavioral and emotional development and allow us to partner with his teachers to his is behavioral and emotional maturity. Also, Johnny playing sports with his friends grew him and let him have teammates to support.We definitely recommend The Saint Anthony School to other families!

The St. Anthony School was a lifesaver for us. Our daughter thrived socially, emotionally, and behaviorally over the four years she attended. Public school was not suited for her and The St. Anthony School helped us get her back on track and happy. I wish we would have moved her sooner than High School. Earning points for Level 4 activities helped keep her focused and boost her confidence by achieving small goals. The staff is very patient and caring. The staff-to-student ratio is beyond ideal and allows more one-on-one interaction. I love how the school focuses on all aspects of the student's life, not just academics. The school has also helped prepare her for life after graduation and offers a transition program for those students who are not ready for the real world.

My daughter and I have loved The St. Anthony School! I just wish I knew about it sooner so she could have several more years here. The administration and teaching staff go above and beyond every day for these students. We are looking forward to the new Momentum program for graduated students which will provide individualized support in academic and/or career development, independent living and communication skills, as well as community engagement.

I found TSAS at the end of my public school rope, left with a child entering 4th grade who ultimately dreaded going to school each day, feeling misunderstood by both his teachers and peers. Every few days brought a call from someone at his school about his behavior, to the point where I recognized the number and answered with, "what now?" Academics weren't an issue for him, but his behavior required an elevated level of attention due to a Level 1 Autism diagnosis, ADD, anxiety, and dysgraphia. We visited several possible private school candidates, and I can say without a doubt that TSAS understood what he needed from the get-go and welcomed him with open arms. We have been at the school going on two years now, with no hesitation about staying indefinitely. I remain grateful to everyone at the school for restoring his trust in teachers and school administration, fostering new friendships, and reigniting his love of learning.

Before The St. Anthony School, we were struggling with how best to help our son. He did not fit in a traditional school environment, and we knew we could not keep sending him back into the same situation. We explored dozens of options but happened upon St. Anthony's school in our research. Our son started school shortly after we toured the school, and it was the best decision we have made for him. No school is perfect, but the social skills he is learning and the increased self-awareness that he has is evident. He never would have come this far behaviorally if we had kept him in a public school system. The St. Anthony School has resources and knowledge for students who struggle both academically and behaviorally. And because the school is small, the administration is able to provide appropriate academic levels for your student depending upon his/her needs.

My son attended St Anthony School since he was elementary age and just graduated this year! He had struggled both behaviorally and academically in public school, but the knowledgeable staff at St Anthony's were able to connect with him, and open the door for him to learn, and ultimately grow into a well-behaved young man. The graduation ceremony itself was the best I have ever attended. With the dedicated teachers and staff recognizing each of the graduating seniors. Mr Dan's insightful, authentic comments recognizing my son could only have come from someone who cared enough to actually get to know him so that he could teach him. If your child learns differently and you are looking for a school where they can be taught at a pace, and in a way, that actually works, with teachers that truly care, then St Anthony School may be for you. I highly recommend it!

What a difference a year makes? Our daughter's sophomore year, which was her first at St. Anthony, was a dramatic difference from her previous school years. Finally, she found a school that understood her needs from day one and worked with her to make it a fulfilling experience. Each and every teacher and staff member knew how to challenge, assist, address issues, and teach Betsy. Every day she came home with great stories and accomplishments. Ms Julia, Ms Sarah, and Mr Dylan were constant dinner table conversations about how they worked with our daughter that day. She not only enjoyed her classes and the electives but really found herself in being able to participate in the Student Council. Mr Nathan told us when we toured the school that one benefit of the school would be that our daughter would meet a group of friends that she would feel more comfortable with than at her previous schools. We didn't appreciate his comment at the time but we quickly saw a difference in her social interactions with a group of friends that culminated in a wonderful time at the Prom. Her growth over the year and the difference from prior school years at other very well regarded schools were evident when she got out of the car each morning. She started the first two weeks a little tentative, then grew more comfortable and by the end of the school year got out of the car with a swagger and confidence that we never saw before. The dynamics at home certainly changed as our daughter's school experience was so positive and a source of pride and belonging rather than a constant source of anxiety, pressure and feeling alienated. Her brother and sister would recommend St Anthony School as much as we would. Finding a school that is a perfect fit for your child is one of the biggest blessings we could receive. The only thing better would have been to find The St Anthony School several years earlier.

I can honestly say I don't know where we would be right now if we hadn't found TSAS. We felt like we were out of options and that a therapeutic school was a very scary choice. We could not have been more wrong...this was a turning point for our son and our family. He went from hopeless, reckless and impulsive in his choices, and completely on a downward spiral to top of his class academically, socially, and maturity-wise. He now works an almost-full-time job while he is also enrolled in college classes at DCC (he just finished his sophomore year). I KNOW he would not be at this level of maturity if he had been in the regular school system, nor at one of the other schools we had experienced. TSAS and its staff - especially Mr. Dan, Mrs. Julia, and Mr. Dylan, have laid a foundation of higher expectations that the kids rise to meet, structure that they feel safe in, and an environment that the kids grow and thrive in as a family. While sports were NEVER my son's "thing", he enjoyed participating in a winning season with TSAS the year before COVID. He also has had a great experience as a part of the Student Council. In these and other activities, as well as his academics, the staff have pushed him safely outside of his comfort zone and given him a chance to grow - fail if necessary - get back up and learn from his mistakes - and know that he's still safe, loved, and OK. This, above all things, has been the life lesson that he's needed. If your child is anxious, depressed, bipolar, on the autism spectrum, or just not fitting into the regular school system, TRUST YOUR GUT and check out TSAS. It's so much more than therapeutic, it's just a great school with a great heart and great kids.

We have been so thankful for everyone at The St Anthony School! After trying a number of other schools, we finally found the one that had the right structure and caring, talented staff our son needed to thrive. Mr Nathan, Mr Dylan, Mr Dan, and so many others have taught and nurtured and guided - and we couldn`t be more proud how much our son has grown over this time.He has a number of true and good friends, he has excelled in his schoolwork, he had a ton of fun on the soccer team (before Covid), and now he is working a part time job and getting ready to enroll in Dual Enrollment courses with Dallas County Community College. If your child is struggling and you haven`t found a school that provides structure while flexing to meet their specific needs, you owe it to yourself and your kid to check out TSAS. You`ll be thankful that you did.

Words cannot express the appreciation I have for my son's experience at The St.Anthony School. My son started attending the school when he was in the 4th grade after going to a public school from the 1st through the 3rd grades. He was bullied by a peer during these grades which prompted us to start looking at other schools. The staff at St. Anthony's taught him to find his voice and to stand up and express himself. They teach the students to have respect for everyone. He has continued to thrive at this school so much that we are now mainstreaming into a public high school. He's taken advantage of all the exceptional extracurricular activities that the school offers, including basketball and band. The confidence that the school has instilled in him has encouraged him to challenge himself and become more independent. His family and I are forever grateful.

I have nothing but accolades when it comes to St. Anthony's. We came to St. Anthony's five years ago. Our daughter was initially accepted into another Learning Differences private school but they discovered that her behavior was too much for them to handle. We came for a tour and felt so welcome and that we found a home for our daughter. It was a little rough at first with the transition but by the middle of the school, year-everything was running smoothly. The teachers know your child so well and are completely transparent with their strengths and opportunities. They have a great balance with work and fun. My daughter has been able to experience so many fun things after working so hard during the week. Our daughter has grown leaps and bounds, she is ready for a new chapter in her life--so sadly we will be leaving St. Anthony's to pursue a bigger school with more social opportunities with other girls. We will be forever grateful to St. Anthony's!!

We are very pleased with our experience at The St. Anthony School. They provide an environment that focuses on every aspect of the individual student. We have appreciated the small setting. It allows teachers to truly know your child. If there are areas of concern that need extra attention, they are able to address it quickly. All of the staff and administration work together to communicate how best to help your child become successful and give the whole family a level of support you will not find elsewhere. Our child has flourished and we have seen an enormous amount of growth and confidence during our time here.

The St. Anthony School has been outstanding in every way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. We had been struggling with my son since he was 3. We were kicked out of multiple preschools and his Kindergarten year in ISD did not go well. We had an advocate suggest the St. Anthony School and it has been the perfect fit for our son. When we met with them we knew they understand exactly what we were going through. My son was always getting into trouble at school. He was an outcast, had no friends and it eventually led to very low self-esteem and depression. It was heart-breaking to see him like this at such a young age. From the 1st day he started at the St. Anthony School we knew it was the perfect fit. He was happy again. He enjoyed school and was making friends. He is now on his 4th year at the school and we have seen a worlds of difference in him. They have built strong characteristics in him such as integrity and respect. They provided the perfect learning environment and know and understand his needs. He has learned self-control and is able to verbalize his feelings and keep emotions and hands in check. The staff and administrators have been outstanding in every way. If you have a child that is struggling, I would highly recommend the St. Anthony School. They truly care and your child has a place where they fit in. They have a place to succeed in school and build skills for life. It has changed our son's life and ours too.

We cannot say enough good things about St Anthony. Our daughter was getting into a lot of trouble at her ISD school. It started in Kindergarten with detentions for her behavior. We tried everything and nothing was working to change her behavior. We started looking at the schools for Learning Differences but they said she was getting into too much trouble to come to their schools. One of the counselors suggested St Anthony. We called, set up a day for our daughter to visit and we fell in love. The teachers and administrators are so helpful. Our daughter learned how to control her actions so that she blends in with the group. Even when she acted out in class I felt it was handled in the most productive way possible. It is very easy to get in touch with the teachers and administrators. She was there for 3rd and 4th grade and then we had to move out of the city. We were all crying on the last day of school. It has been two years since we were there and all of her lessons are still with her. St Anthony made a huge difference. Call them if you are having behavioral issues with your precious child. St Anthony will remind you of why you became a parent and make you feel successful again. Not all children are the same. And it is a wonderful school that sees the special-ness in your child when everyone else steps away from them. St Anthony took us by the hand and helped us move forward.
