The Whitfield School is an independent, coeducational college preparatory school serving students in grades 612 in St. Louis, Missouri. Located on a 26-acre campus, Whitfield combines the opportunities of a larger school with the relationships and individual attention of a small, connected community.
At Whitfield, academic rigor is active. Students are challenged not only to master content, but to ask thoughtful questions, solve complex problems, communicate their ideas, and apply what they learn. Small classes allow teachers to know students well and create learning experiences that encourage curiosity, collaboration, independence, and intellectual risk-taking.
Signature experiences include public exhibitions of student work, interdisciplinary projects, hands-on STEM learning, the Junior Humanities Exhibition, and a year-long Senior Capstone culminating in a public presentation.Learning extends well beyond the classroom.
