We value the children entrusted to our care and commit ourselves to providing the very best possible services to each individual child who comes to Thornwell.
We believe that each child should be given the opportunity to grow up in a family.
All of our programs are family centered. We affirm our responsibility to build upon and facilitate the strengths of each family we serve.
We seek to model a family lifestyle in our residential program and provide community based family centered foster care for those children in our care who cannot return to their natural families.
The services of our early intervention program are designed to eliminate the need for out-of-home placement and if this is not possible to significantly reduce the time a child has to be placed out of the home.
The program of our Child Development Center seeks to support the family's ability to provide early childhood education and development opportunities so that each child can reach his or her God given potential.
