White Bear Montessori Photo #1 - White Bear Montessori has been serving the community for 55 years. We proudly provide authentic Montessori education to children aged 16 months - 6th grade.

White Bear Montessori Photo #2 - Children in the Toddler Community are encouraged to grow and learn through many practical life activities such as caring for the environment (sweeping, dusting, washing, polishing, watering plants, raking leaves, shoveling snow), caring for self (toileting, washing hands, dressing, preparing food) and taking care of others (grace and courtesy).

White Bear Montessori Photo #3 - The Children's House environment is a mixed age group for 3 through 6 years old. Children choose work that the Guide has presented from the areas of practical life, sensorial, mathematics, and language, which encompasses areas of culture, art, music, geography, and more. It is a social environment in which children learn to cooperate, share, and help others.

White Bear Montessori Photo #4 - Elementary Years: The Montessori Method is a research-based curriculum that encourages children ages 6-12 to follow up on materials introduced by the guide and to conduct research on subjects that the children choose. They explore various facets of chosen subjects through research, individually or in small collaborative groups. Classrooms are multi-age, so peer learning and mentoring opportunities can unfold.

White Bear Montessori strives to be a diverse community of families and staff dedicated to providing and supporting an environment that is faithful to the Montessori philosophy and fosters children's development, enabling them to reach their full potential.

My two children have been going to White Bear Montessori since they were infants. They would rather come to WBMS than stay at home with me because they have so much fun with the unique learning materials that engage their natural curiosity and joy of learning.
