Our son transferred to CLS 5th grade year. CLS offers exceptional academics supported by a warm, welcoming community. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the positive atmosphere created by both staff and students. The students are consistently well-behaved, respectful, and eager to learn, which makes the school environment feel safe and productive. The teachers are truly the heart of this school. They are deeply invested in their students' success and go above and beyond to ensure each child feels supported, challenged, and valued. Their dedication shows in the strong academic performance and the confidence students build throughout the year.Overall, this is a wonderful school where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing and high-quality learning environment.

Choosing a school is one of the toughest decisions we have made as parents. After seeing our oldest's experience in a public school in the area we began searching for a Christian private school as an alternative to public. We are incredibly grateful for the classical Christian education our children receive at Christ Lutheran School. Over our time here, we've seen them grow not only academically, but also in character, confidence, and their understanding of our Christian faith. One of the greatest strengths of this school is its commitment to a classical approach to learning. Rather than rushing through material for tests, the school emphasizes deep thinking, stellar communication skills, and a helps foster a love of learning. The school is helping prepare them for their future. We have yet to have a "bad" teacher at CLS. The teachers all know and care for their students and really get to know the families. They support our kids in a loving environment but also make sure they are challenged. What truly sets this school apart is its commitment to a Christ-centered education and the community of families in the school. It's great to be part of a smaller school community where the older kids sit with the Kindergarteners at chapel and model behaviors for them. If you are looking for a new community and education plan for your student, we highly recommend you come take a look at Christ Lutheran!

We came to Christ Lutheran School 3 years ago. During the COVID Shutdown, we homeschooled our kids. The following year we went back to our local school only to learn that what we had taught them at home was far superior to what the local school was teaching. We found Christ Lutheran School and took a tour with the principal. We learned of the Classical Education, spoke to some staff and saw some of what the students were doing. Instantly we were sold. 3 years later and it was the best move we could have made. Spiritually as well. The classical learning, smaller class sizes, amazing faculty and staff, excellent sports program and full sense of community is AMAZING! We love this church and school. Even after our oldest graduates, we will still be a part of the school.

My children have been at Christ Lutheran School for 5 years and we would HIGHLY recommend the school! I am a former public school teacher (currently at home with our youngest), and the differences that I see are incomparable! It is hard to consider other options when you are in an area like Johnson County and the public schools are considered to be good - but once you really start looking, you will be suprised!!! That's not just my opinion, in my son's class of 16 students, there are 7 kids who have a parent that is CURRENTLY or fomerly a public school teacher in this area, AND they are sending their children to Christ Lutheran School - I think that speaks volumes! Some of them are dropping their kids off at CLS and then driving across town to teach at a public school - obiviously it would be easier to just have their children attend the public school, BUT there is a reason these parents are making these choices. CLS has VERY high standards and brings out the best in every child!!! They have a strong faith program, an EXCELLENT academic program (includeing Latin class WITH a live Latin speaking teacher, not just a teacher who plays a video like the public schools program), plenty of good extracurricular activites (such as sports, music, chess, Scouts, charity & community service, etc.) It's a great school!

I joined Christ Lutheran in 3rd grade when it was still in its early years. Best decision my parents ever made for me. I really grew in my faith. I was challenged to push myself to be the best. The atmosphere is great, wish I could go back through it again. I made life long friends that I will never forget. As a junior in high school now, I can say without a doubt that CLS really prepared me for my future. Would HIGHLY recommend this school. GO GRIFFINS!!!

I attended Christ Lutheran School/pre-school from age 3 all the way through 8th grade. Having graduated a few years ago, I have seen the school grow progressively. The program there is great. It provides the students with skills they will use forever, both intellectual and spiritual. The athletic program Christ Lutheran has is phenomenal. The program started off small, however they now have a phenomenal boys basketball team which has gotten 1st three years in a row, an amazing track team of both boys and girls, and now have added (this past year) a cheer team. Overall, the environment for children is truly outstanding, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
