Crossroads School, Inc. is an academic specialty school that directly addresses the educational needs of children with learning differences and the social/emotional needs directly occurring from them. The Crossroads student is a typical child who has one or more learning differences and is having difficulty learning in a traditional school setting.
These diagnoses usually include: ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, expressive/receptive language disorders, processing disorders, and high functioning autism spectrum disorder.
A large number of our student body is Twice Exceptional (gifted with a learning disability).
Students may also struggle with the repercussions of early or non-specific cognitive dysfunction stemming from premature birth, early medical conditions, and adoption issues.
