The centerpiece of Cuvilly Arts and Earth Center is the preschool.
In the words of Cuvilly founder and director Sister Patricia Rolinger, "The purpose of Cuvilly is to have children fall in love with creation so when they grow up they will preserve what they love." Children, especially, need to experience themselves as part of the natural cycle.
Cuvilly teachers delight in using the 15-acre campus to provide a variety of learning experiences to guide the child in positive modes of self-expression.
A child's growth is facilitated by providing a range of activities including visual arts, music and movement, free choice activities, and, of course, exploring the woodlands, fields, and farm that make up the physical plant of the Cuvilly campus.
Gardening, hiking, ponding, and farm chores are but a few of the activities that stimulate the child's natural curiosity and creativity.
