The Evergreen Center is a residential school serving children and adolescents with severe developmental disabilities.
The Center believes it is essential to build skills in the areas of communication, self-care and social interaction to successfully place students in less restrictive environments and enhance their quality of life.
The Evergreen Center has helped students achieve their maximum potential and has brought them closer to their family home.
At the Evergreen Center the standard for successful instruction is social competence.
We believe that the achievement of social competence is a reliable predictor of successful adjustment to a lifestyle centered in community participation.
This philosophy places particular emphasis on educational experiences which foster the personal independence and emotional growth of individuals with disabilities.
The Evergreen Center recognizes the inherent value of each student and teacher in the educational process and believes in the ability of each student to learn and grow.
