We are an urban, Catholic elementary school, which is and has been deeply rooted in the faith community of Gate of Heaven Parish in South Boston for over a century.
Inspired and energized by our rich tradition and history, we strive to meet the spiritual, academic, physical and social needs of the people whom we serve.
The dignity and self-worth of each individual is of utmost importance as we endeavor to integrate learning with the experience of living our Christian faith.
We are first and foremost a Catholic school which sees its reason for being in more than academic fields.
The teaching of Religion is seen not merely as a discipline or body of knowledge to be taught but rather as a way of life which permeates and gives value to all expressions of learning.
We strive to develop within our students the necessary skills and knowledge so that they will become persons who have a sense of their being, identity and worth and who will commit themselves to a life of on-going learning and to be effective and contributing members of society.
We would hope to encourage our students to witness to their faith, to use their gifts and talents in service of others and to become builders of a caring community.
