Our son was diagnosed with Auditory Processing Delay at age 6 through the Rochester City School District evaluation process. We were not aware of Hope Hall and the children it served until my wife found out they had an opening for an Administrative Assistant. Finding this was a GODSEND!!! He has been in Hope Hall since he was in 2nd grade after floundering in even Catholic School where he was shunned by the children, especially, for being a "runt" of the litter as he could not keep up with the curriculum. When he started at Hope Hall in the Fall of 2013, we knew soon after that this was the school for him!! Sister Diana Dolce began the school for our son and children like him who have learning disabilities that make it almost impossible for a child to keep up with regular education classrooms. He was "falling through the cracks" in even "private" school before he entered Hope Hall. Not only that, but his self-esteem ROSE immediately and he is now a VERY self-confident teenager!! We can NOT thank Sister Diana enough for her dedication and a strong commitment to our son and other's like him who would have it so different if Hope Hall had not been commenced!! It was just the first week into August and he CAN'T WAIT to go BACK to school!!! Sister Diana Dolce is ALSO super at controlling "bullying" in the school....nips it right in the bud!! In addition, she and her staff work HARD to help anyone afford the school as they do NOT get help from NYS with funding and strive based on donations and a VERY generous community out there. Thank you, Sister Diana and ALL our supporters!!!
