Island School Photo #1 - Driving into Island School's campus it is not uncommon to see a beautiful rainbow but in this occasion we were lucky enough to see a double rainbow.

Island School Photo #2 - May Day is Lei Day in Hawai'i. Island School celebrates with an all-school event, followed by a lu'au lunch. These first graders will perform a hula with their class. The entire student body is involved in this special day.

Island School Photo #3 - Performing arts classes are part of the curriculum beginning in kindergarten. In this photo, middle school drama students perform, "Agatha Rex," a modern version of "Antigone."

Island School Photo #4 - Island School graduates are accepted at colleges and universities across the country and internationally.

Island School Photo #5 - The Island School Chorus includes over 100 students in grades 4-12.

Island School Photo #6 - Parents and friends support Island School while having a fantastic evening at the annual Gala Auction, The Disco Ball. Proceeds go directly into financial aid for qualifying families. Over 40% of our students receive financial aid.

Island School Photo #9 - The Island School halau, Na Pua O Ka Maile, perform at special events all over the island. Students in all grades study and experience the richness of Hawaiian culture.

Our nearly 500 PK-12th grade students are challenged daily to live our mission: "Educating the mind, inspiring the heart.

Preparing Kauai youth to lead lives of significance." For 47 years, we have provided Kaua'i with a program from which our students become independent thinkers and explore with curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

From the voices of our young Pre-Kindergarteners in their outdoor classrooms to the robust debates amongst our juniors and seniors, we hold the student voice at the center of all we do. Island School is an environment where students feel safe to voice their opinions, take risks in their learning, and seek new challenges.

We cultivate a dynamic learning environment where respect, compassion, and integrity are fundamental aspects of our college-preparatory program, and work hard to ensure every member of our community is celebrated, seen, and belongs.
