Excellent school, staff, and community. Our son started 2nd grade at KCA after attending another on island private school in 1st grade. He was behind in reading when entering 2nd grade and the school staff assessed his reading level and have worked with him to quickly improve his reading skills. In addition to providing a solid Christian education the school has high academic standards. From speaking with parents with children who have transferred from other schools we have all been impressed with the academic curriculum. Classrooms are equipped with state of the art technology and provide hands on learning experiences. Students have been on multiple field trips and had on campus educational presentations throughout the school year. The school offers transportation from Kapaa to make it convenient for those not living near Kilauea As others have said, I cannot say enough great things about this school!

I have multiple children in classrooms at Kaua'i Christian Academy. My family spans from the youngest of grades to the oldest. I LOVE this school! I know that my children are safe. They are with adults with love them and desire them to succeed. The students are taught kindness as the rule so my children do not feel that they are singled out for unkindness without an advocate. The academics are challenging, but help is offered when a concept is not easily grasped. There are fun extracurricular activities like physical education, art, creative writing, drama, and music. These are things that are often discussed with great enthusiasm around our dining room table each evening. The community environment that the school has established is welcoming and it is enjoyable to come to events put on by the school. I love this place so very much!

I cannot say enough about the positive impact that attending Kauai Christian Academy had on our sons (ages 10 and 14). From the very first day, there was a warm welcoming family atmosphere to the school. The curriculum provided for a complete academic, spiritual, and physical development for them. The faculty and staff are top-notch and truly care about the individual growth of each student. Leaving KCA was one of the most difficult parts of our move off-island for work-related reasons.

This school has been instrumental in helping to restore our son's self esteem in regard to his ability to learn and also his desire to strive toward what he is capable of, not just what is required.Our son, who is in 7th grade was previously in public school and came home almost everyday feeling defeated and unintelligent. I tried repeatedly to connect with his teachers regarding homework and class projects...mostly to no avail! He has a touch of ADD (as do most boys, I think) and although I knew he was smart, his report cards were usually C's D's and the occasional F. I was so sad for him and frustrated!We learned about KCC through a friend and enrolled him this school year 2020-21. It was tough at first due to the challenging curriculum but the principal and teachers worked with us to get him up to speed. It took a lot of work on all of our parts but after 5 months his grades went from C's and D's to A's, B's and the occasional C.The curriculum is fantastic! My son comes home learning about anatomy and physiology that is only slightly easier than what I had in college. In bible class they learn not only religious history but also about art, architecture and ancient civilizations whose impact can still be felt today.The community service teaches them the importance of contribution to others and the strength training has helped him to learn that when it comes to seeing the fruits of your labour, instant gratification is not to be expected but patience and diligence are rewarded with results.I wish that I had know how amazing this school is long ago but now that I do, I want others to have the benefit of watching their children realize not only their scholastic potential but also their spiritual potential...in other words, the realization that we are all connected and are in fact "our brother's keeper"

I have been going to Kauai Christian Academy for four years and will be transitioning into my Junior year after summer. Ever since my first day of attendance, the classmates have been friendly; the teachers have been welcoming, and I have felt at home. Throughout my time here I have began to learn things that will not only help me in my further academic career but also in everyday life. This school incorporates Jesus Christ into almost all of the lessons, and I have gained a greater understanding and appreciation for God-to say the least. KCA offers personal one-on-one help that larger populated schools cannot provide. I truly feel that the teachers and principal care about us and our wellbeing. They go out of their ways to give us opportunity's and prepare us for what's to come. I am thankful for my time here and, even after I leave, will treasure it always:)

I grew up on Kauai and attended public school. I had an overall good experience (though a lots changed in 20 years), nothing that ever made me not want to go back to school. Always expected by kids to take the same road. But I know others who had horrible experiences and/or choose to make poor decisions. Public school can be a gamble on shopping your Childs character. We started our daughter in Pre-school at KCA and have kept her into 2nd grade. It's been an amazing experience. The student body from Kindergarten into high school is so well behaved. KCA has created a solid God centered culture supported by great staff and teachers. We have only experienced the teachers up into 2nd grade but the staff just seems to get better and better. Our son is now in pre-school and we look forward to the coming years and the small classroom sizes.
