Nashua Children's Home has a century-long tradition and a history of responsiveness to community needs.
In 1899, Josiah Fletcher donated property on the corner of Burrett and Brook Streets in Nashua to the First Baptist Church "for the purpose of maintaining a home for orphans and destitute children of Nashua and vicinity." The agency commenced operation in 1903 as the "Nashua Protestant Orphanage Association," administered by a Board of Directors representing all of the Protestant Churches of Nashua.
The Educational Program provides services for students with educational disabilities between the ages of 7 and 15.
Three self-contained classrooms of 8-10 students, each supervised by a certified special education teacher and an aide, offer a favorable teacher to pupil ratio and close interaction.
