  • Ridgefield Montessori School provides Montessori education to the children which had created by Dr, Maria Montessori who was a medical doctor and pioneer educator who was born in Italy in 1870 and died in 1952.
  • As her life's work she developed a teaching philosophy that balances freedom with responsibility in the classroom and also sets high standards of intellectual and social development for children.
  • Our toddler program begins with the basics: toileting, dressing, serving themselves snack, and learning the boundaries of the classroom.
  • The goal in the toddler class is to make each child feel comfortable in the Montessori classroom and therefore be ready for a smooth transition into the primary classroom.
