Small School Community, Big School Opportunity! Founded in 1890, The MacDuffie School is an independent boarding and day school in Granby, Massachusetts for Boys and Girls in grades six through twelve.
Our mission is to foster in all students the intellectual habits of mind, high ethical standards, and respect for diversity required for becoming effective individuals in their personal and work lives and moral and responsible participants in the world beyond.

We balance a rigorous academic program with a warm and caring community. Our students come to us from the Pioneer Valley and across the globe. The MacDuffie School embraces the uniqueness of each student to create an inclusive environment; both our small class sizes (an average of 11 students) and our small school size allows every student to be known by every adult. The result is meaningful connections that have a great impact on each student`s educational experience.

The MacDuffie School in Granby, MA has been a wonderful school experience for my daughter who entered the school in 6 grade three years ago when it moved to Granby. The academics have been very challenging and the teachers outstanding. They offer a wide variety of clubs, theater productions, community service opportunities and athletics. The overall experience has been wonderful! I believe she is receiving a top notch education at The MacDuffie School.
