Tremont has been a revelation for us. Our son was suffering in public schools, owing to profound social and emotional struggles. The teachers, parents, and staff at Tremont have been remarkable in helping to restore our son''s trust in the educational process and desire to learn. It''s a work in progress, but I cannot express how grateful we are to have discovered Tremont.

I am the parent of a student who was part of the Post-Graduate program at Tremont School and I now happily serve on the Board of Trustees as I deeply believe in the mission, vision, and values of the school. My son had a great experience during his post-grad year and is now soon to graduate from college. He felt deeply known by his teachers and very much a part of the community. He has stayed in touch with several of the teachers and some of his peers. His post-grad year was a perfect next step before going off to school and it helped him to feel the confidence to do so. The flexibility in his schedule during his post-grad year at Tremont School allowed him to start taking some college courses to build some credits that then transferred to the college that he ended up going to in Burlington Vermont.

As the father of a 10th grader at Tremont School, I have seen significant positive changes in my son since he enrolled in 9th grade, moving from the Metro West public schools. Our search for a supportive environment for our neurodiverse child led us to Tremont in Concord, MA. Chosen by our son after careful consideration, Tremont has been a perfect fit, offering a personalized learning approach that engages his interests, such as the Activision vs. Microsoft legal case, and provides empathetic staff support. Key advantages of Tremont include its small, tailored learning settings, a balanced focus on social, emotional, and academic growth, and the recent introduction of innovative staff members who have significantly improved the curriculum. The school's commitment is evident through regular student check-ins and consistent communication. However, some challenges persist, such as the absence of official school transportation, previous issues with teacher turnover (which have improved this year), and the lack of formal sports teams. Our experience with Tremont School has been transformative, and we appreciate its nurturing and adaptive educational environment. It's a school that genuinely cares about each student's unique needs and progress, making it an ideal choice for families seeking individualized education. We wholeheartedly recommend Tremont School.

My daughter was in a crisis. She was on an IEP in a public elementary school with high-functioning Autism, Narcolepsy, and PANDAS. The public school could not support her properly. We transferred to a private elementary school for one year which was better but still not a great fit. We transferred to a 766 therapeutic school next. And, while the support structure was very good, the academic learning was anemic. Then we found Tremont School as she started 9th grade. I am thrilled to say that after 5-years at Tremont School, she graduated HS took a gap year, and is now a freshman at Hampshire College! Tremont School was a warm and welcoming environment. It was a safe place. They allowed her to heal socially and emotionally first. And, then the learning started. She loved being able to co-create the curriculum with the faculty. She loved the project-based work. She loved the contract time to give flexibility to how she completed the work. And, simply, she loved the faculty and staff - especially Tore. It was amazing to see that she did not need the IEP supports as traditionally defined (pull-outs, social skills, exec functioning skills, etc.) at Tremont because the natural structure of the curriculum and the built-in Collaborative problem-solving culture provided all the support required. I am not sure we would have a college freshman today if it wasn't for Tremont School.

We came to Tremont for middle school and after having an amazing experience are staying for high school. The school delivers on its promise of an individualized education experience with many opportunities to expand academic learning but it delivers academics while also paying close attention to social and emotional growth. We have never been in a kinder or more caring learning community. The teachers and staff are exceptional in all they do.

Tremont is an amazing school. When our son was in public school It was as if he was in a pressure cooker, constantly on guard and falling between the cracks, feeling as if he was stupid. Despite his very high IQ, he was not learning. Tremont was the steam valve that released the pressure. He was able to relax into himself and learn because he felt seen and supported. Our son will be leaving Tremont next year after 5 years there. This school has prepared him to move on to a somewhat larger educational setting where he can spread his wings and succeed with his new found confidence and skills.

My son is in his second year at Tremont School. It has been wonderful to see him grow as a person and a learner at the school. The teachers are caring and creative, and the school community is supportive of everyone. The individual learning model through the living curriculum allows the student to choose topics and methods of learning that engage them, with the teachers' guidance. This leads to an impressive variety of student projects, and I always learn a lot from them. An emphasis on social-emotional learning has helped students like my son be comfortable at school and engage in his learning.

Tremont saved our son's life after a difficult year in a public school in another state. We moved to the greater Boston area so he could attend Tremont. What a turnaround! He is joyful and confident and looks forward to school every day. This is thanks to Tremont's social/emotional focus, their project-based approach to learning, compassionate and dedicated teachers and staff and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) baked into everything they do all day, every day. Tremont is a very special place.

Our son came to Tremont for 4 years of middle school, and is now starting in the high school. He was falling through the cracks at public school because he learns differently. At Tremont he is engaged in learning: There is lots of hands-on learning through individual interests, breaks and recess periods built into the day, and opportunities to complete work at school if you don't want to have homework. There is structure, within which there is lots of student choice about how to achieve goals. Tremont teaches kids to take control of their learning in ways that work for them.

This is our daughter's fifth year at Tremont School. We have been very pleased with the amount of growth she has achieved in this short time. She is thriving academically, pushing beyond her grade level in some subjects. Socially she has made wonderful friendships at Tremont school. Her emotional growth has been remarkable. The project based curriculum allows students to take ownership over their own learning. She improved in her organizational and time management skills. Every aspect of the school, from the academics, the methods of discipline, the extra curricular activities, the parent involvement, is designed to help build the students' self confidence, critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence, and executive functioning skills. The skills that will serve them for a lifetime. My daughter is in her fifth year and it is the perfect place for her. Our family is so grateful to have found such as wonderful school full of dedicated, bright and energetic teachers and administrative staff.
