Great school!!!

We have two boys at Xaverian, and though they are very different kids, Xaverian has been a wonderful fit for each of them. Xaverian has really committed to understanding and investing in those things that make a learning environment more accessible for boys. The academic environment is rigorous, but all of the supports are in place to teach the students to self-advocate and succeed. And when you hear them talk about "Brothers for Life" on campus, they really mean it! The younger HS kids take the middle schoolers under their wing, just like the upperclassmen watch out for the younger HS students. Whether it is serving as a mentor, a student campus minister, team captain, or just offering rides to the younger guys, the boys take pride in helping each other feel like a valued member of the community. Those sentiments are further enriched by the volunteer opportunities, trips, and other community events for faculty and student engage and celebrate Hawks Pride.

We have two sons at Xaverian and their experience has been wonderful. From the first moment you step on campus for the accepted student`s night the staff sets the tone talking about the brotherhood and teaching the boys about service to others. A few months later we saw examples of the brotherhood with my older son who was a freshman at the time. He was training with the lacrosse team and he needed rides back and forth to workouts. He told us he was all set because the seniors would take the freshmen with them. Over the course of months, the seniors would drive any of the freshmen that needed a ride. The older boys always made sure the younger kids were taken care of and that no one was left out. The older boys also run the peer ministry and act as mentors to the younger kids. This not only teaches brotherhood it also teaches leadership. These are two small examples of what we like about Xaverian. Probably the best example of what we loved at Xaverian came from one of my sons. We had asked him if he was happy there and he told us he was. Of course, I asked why, and he told me that he was at a place where it was cool to succeed and that all the kids there were working to make themselves better at school, sports, and as people. This struck us and we knew that it was Xaverian that created an atmosphere where the kids felt it was cool to succeed, this makes it all worthwhile.

Xaverian Brothers High School is an extraordinary place for boys grades 7-12. Our son started when XB opened 7th grade and the school, administration, faculty, staff, academics, sports and community have been nothing short of incredible! Whenever we have a question or concern we are met with a smile and 'how can we help' from anyone at XB. Not every school is the same and there are many to choose from, but Xaverian Brothers High School is worth the time and look if you have a son who you would like to see excel in a strong and supportive way from his school. Come to the Open House on October 21 (for grades 9-12) and October 28 (for grades 7&8)!

Xaverian is a true gem. Across the board -- academics, service, athletics, faith-related events, my two sons always come away with truly transformative experiences. Their education at Xaverian will ensure their success at a top college -- and while that is certainly a goal, the community of "men and women for others" is evident, supporting them to become good, honest, selfless young men... we could not ask for more and consider their time at Xaverian to be a gift we will always be deeply grateful for -- and it is a fun place to be!

Our son is currently a sophmore in college. As each day passes he appreciates more and more how is 4 years a Xaverian prepared him for college. He was not one of the "top performers" at XBHS (middle of the pack,) but while there he developed study and homework habits that made the transition to college absolutly seamless. His first year in college he saw how students coming in from some very good public schools hadn't developed the dicipline and skill sets necessary to make the freshman year in college, and most espically the first semester, a successful one. High expectations are set at XBHS, and they don't want to hear excuses if you don't perform to your potential. When your college application lands on the desk of the admissions department, they understand that a middle of the pack XBHS grad is far better prepared and qualified than many of the kids with high GPAs from many other schools. They are serious about education and developing a student with moral dicipline. I''d highly recommend XBHS.

Amazing school, Learning centers are something that can't be found anywhere else
