Our son joined Rectory in 6th grade and is now in 8th grade, and we''ve been very happy with our experience.Rectory truly feels like a caring community. The teachers and dorm parents really know the students and support them both academically and personally.Over the past three years, we''ve seen our son grow a lot-he''s become more independent, confident, and better at building friendships. Boarding life has helped him develop strong habits and responsibility.Academically, the school offers a wide range of classes, and the IIP program provides great support for new students. What we appreciate most is the personalized attention-teachers take time to understand each child. The school is also very supportive with high school placement. Overall, Rectory has been a wonderful choice for our family.

Rectory is a second home for both my son and me.As a parent, there is nothing more meaningful than finding a school where your child feels truly known, supported, and happy. That has been our experience at Rectory. What stands out most is how deeply the school understands children at this stage of life. Rectory challenges students academically, but just as importantly, it helps them grow in confidence, character, and independence. The teachers and staff create an environment where children feel safe to stretch, to try new things, and to become the best version of themselves. For our family, Rectory means even more than that. I am also a Rectory alumnus, and years later, choosing to send my own son there was one of the most personal and meaningful decisions we have made. It is hard to describe what it feels like to watch your child walk into a place that once shaped your own life and to see that same warmth, care, and spirit still alive today. If I could go back and choose again, both as a parent and for myself, I would choose Rectory without hesitation. To our family, it is more than a school. It is home. - Parent of a G7 and Rectory Alumnus

We just wanted to share our experience with Rectory School because so many parents face the same worries when choosing a middle school-especially when it''s abroad. We''re incredibly grateful we chose Rectory for our child. The first thing we cared about was our child''s physical and mental well-being. Rectory exceeded all our expectations. Our child needed to lose weight, and the school took this seriously. Every week, nurses tracked his progress, sent detailed updates, and even taught him about healthy eating and lifestyle choices. The support was gentle, consistent, and never overwhelming. We always felt confident that our child was in safe hands. The change in their attitude toward sports is amazing. Before Rectory, our child was a bit quiet and stayed indoors a lot. But in just one semester, he tried soccer, tennis, running, and discovered a love for fencing. He even compared fencing programs in Shenzhen, but our child clearly prefers the teaching style and atmosphere at Rectory. It''s wonderful to see him become active and confident.Academically, the teachers are so perceptive. They spotted our child''s strengths early on and encouraged him to explore further. The school also organizes daily cultural activities, which have helped our child become more open, independent, and comfortable with different backgrounds. In less than a year, Rectory has helped our child grow into a healthier, happier, and more self-assured person. It''s not just an academic school; it''s a community that cares for the whole child. If you''re looking for a school that prioritizes health, growth, and personal development, we truly believe Rectory is worth every bit of consideration.

Rectory has been a wonderful experience. The school''s curriculum really helped our son grow from a curious kid into a student who''s excited to learn. After 3 years, he''s become more confident, motivated, and willing to take on new challenges, which has been great and so thankful for a parent to witness. The dorm parents were pretty great too. They cared for our son like family and knew little things about him that showed how much they paid attention. Knowing he was in such a supportive environment gave us a lot of comfort(because of dorm life, he becomes much more independent and responsible than at home!)If you want a caring school, where your child can grow respecting others an feeling confident, Rectory is it!

"Sending our child to a school so far away in the US was initially a source of great anxiety for us. We chose Rectory School because we wanted a close-knit, family-oriented community rather than a large institution, and as parents of a graduating 9th grader, we can confidently say it was the best decision we ever made.At Rectory, everyone truly knows each other. The faculty and staff treat the students with genuine care and sincerity. We have watched our child grow immensely-not just academically, but as an individual. They have become more independent, confident, and well-rounded. If anyone asks for advice on junior boarding schools, I would recommend Rectory without hesitation. Our affection for this school will remain long after graduation, and we look forward to visiting again to see the faculty and watch the school continue to thrive."- Parent of a 9th Grade Student

We feel incredibly fortunate that our child has been part of the Rectory community. The school truly feels like a warm, close-knit family where every student is known, supported, and encouraged to grow.Rectory offers a well-balanced education - strong academics combined with athletics, character development, and confidence-building. We''ve seen tremendous growth in our child, both academically and personally. We are deeply grateful for this experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Rectory to any family seeking a supportive and well-rounded environment.- Parent of a 9th Grade Boarding Student
