Our two children have been at Rowland Hall for three years, and we have been consistently impressed. The sense of community is strong, the faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting each child where they are, and the facilities are outstanding. With the completion of the new campus this year, Rowland Hall has become an unparalleled option in the Salt LakePark City area.

As an alum, there is nowhere else I would send my children. The academics are top-notch, but the community is what truly differentiates Rowland Hall from other schools.

Rowland Hall is by far the top school in the state of Utah and a top school in the United States. The fact that the school has not only existed but thrived since 1867 is a testament to its strength and longevity. I speak from the perspective of being an alumna of the school, a parent of an alum who is currently a college student/athlete, and a parent of a current senior. The faculty is stellar with an overwhelming majority of them having graduate degrees in their respective fields. The faculty have come from all over the world thus, giving a global flavor and perspective to the students. These teachers are not only well-educated but are very invested in the student's well-being, both academically and emotionally. Furthermore, college counseling is unrivaled in its commitment to each student. A core philosophy of the school is to teach the students how to impact the world, and how to understand and engage with others. The faculty/student ratio is superb because it allows the teachers and administration to invest in each student. They know the students on a deeply individual level and are committed to helping them succeed. A Rowland Hall education is priceless.

We think Rowland Hall is by far the best nursery-12 school in the state of Utah! Our children were at an independent nursery-12 school in Utah for years which was an incredibly disappointing experience. We were relieved, to say the least when they were all accepted to Rowland Hall. The academics at Rowland Hall are far superior, as is the location where the students have quick access to events and opportunities in town. The teachers are so dedicated and truly love teaching and offer regular extra help and fabulous classes such as aviation and architecture. The last school our kids attended had a number of lawsuits against it and had an old-school Utah culture that was both shocking and disheartening to our family. Rowland Hall is an honest place that not only talks about good values, they actually walk the walk. We are so proud to have our children at Rowland Hall!

Excellent school. The teachers, staff, parents and students create a kind and respectful community. Our son loves to go to school. The school really cares about each student and every family. The academics are excellent. We moved our child to Rowland Hall in the 3rd grade, and the school was very welcoming to us. During Covid, the school was able to provide a seamless academic experience for all students in a safe environment. We feel lucky to be part of the Rowland Hall family.

Excellent school - really lives their mission. We are new to Salt Lake City and have felt so welcomed by this incredible community. The curriculum is very challenging but it truly felt like our kids were being cared for. This is not a school where kids are just sitting in rows and taking notes - this is a school where classrooms are active and students are known! Could not be more excited about our experience!

To say that Rowland Hall has had a massive impact on my life would be an enormous understatement; Rowland Hall made me into the person I am today. I attended Rowland Hall from age three until I graduated at age 18. Rowland Hall not only provided me with a top-notch education but it helped me build essential skills that will last a lifetime. Rowland Hall taught me to be a caring and accepting citizen who goes above and beyond to help others.In In my opinion, the best part of Rowland Hall is the community. The faculty and staff genuinely care about every one of their students, not just while they are in their class but also for life. I ran into my first-grade teacher recently, and she not only recognized me and remembered me, but she recalled all the memories we shared 20+ years ago. She was genuinely interested in learning all she could from me about my life and any updates I had on her former students. In another instance of immense dedication, my digital arts teacher was there for me as I battled severe mental illness in high school. Once I graduated, he did not disappear from my life. Instead, he checked in with me regularly to see if I was okay or if there was anything he could do to help me out. At Rowland Hall, you are part of a larger family, and the community will always be there for you. I feel immense gratitude for Rowland Hall and cannot recommend Rowland Hall more highly to prospective families.

My children have been exceptionally happy at Rowland Hall. The small class sizes mean that our children have had innumerable differentiated learning opportunities. Every classroom communicated high expectations about what children can achieve intellectually and social-emotional, and did so in ways that empowered students to solve complex math, engineering, and social problems with strategies they've practiced and confidence that they'll succeed. Since moving to distance learning, the caliber of instruction has not wavered. The Kindergarten team has provided engaging content, ample feedback, and many opportunities for classmates to connect. They're not using any canned curricula or impersonal learning platforms. Every lesson is crafted by the RH faculty for the students that they know so well. Parent communication continues to be frequent, positive, and makes us feel like a critical partner in our children's learning. We can't recommend the school highly enough!

The Early Learning Program has been amazing for us and our two boys. Transferring from New York City could have been a challenge, but their approach and dedication allowed them to love the school and the area. Even in the COVID era, they ability to supplement what used to be in the classroom and take the pressure off our shoulders has been inspiring.

My family has always appreciated the incredible Rowland Hall community, the heavy investment in professional development for teachers (it shows), the academic rigor, and the emphasis on the emotional development of the "whole child" here. Since the coronavirus pandemic closed the doors, we have seen an even greater benefit to our investment in this school. RH has quickly and thoughtfully created a robust online curriculum that has kept our 3 kids engaged (academically and with peers and teachers), challenged, and smiling. Their innovative approach to planning for the uncertainties of 2020-21 gives me confidence that this is still the right place for us. If you are looking for the best all-around academic and social-emotional foundation for your child, this is your school.

My two children have been at Rowland Hall since preschool, now in 4th and 6th grade. I have been thoroughly impressed with their teachers every year we have been at the school. I am always amazed at the topics and the depth at which they study them. The administration and staff are very welcoming and supportive, and we have made great friendships with the broader community!

I love this school, Nico is currently in 6th grade and started attending Rowland Hall when he was in 3rd grade. What I value the most is the personalized education that each student receive as well as the support in every aspect, from the physical to emotional, every teacher and staff will know about every student strength and weakness and they will work together to get the best out of everyone. This school is also caring about families that can not afford to pay 100% tuition because diversity is also valuable and they believe that every child deserves the same opportunity, that is something not every private school will offer or care about. I'm more than grateful for the school, the teachers and all the staff because I can tell they care about our children and that is also priceless.

Our experience at Rowland Hall has been one of excellence. The entire faculty, teachers and administration, have been thoughtful, prepared and engaging with our son. As a family, we enjoy the Rowland Hall community and our son loves school. We can honestly say that he is thriving. We truly believe that our son is getting a great education and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Rowland Hall family.

As a Rowland Hall "lifer" (attended pre-school through high school graduation), I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The community that Rowland Hall provides for its students promotes an open, inclusive culture that helps shape everyone into their own version of their best self. The rigorous academic curriculum (while hard to appreciate it as I was attending!) prepared me so well for college that I actually found it less challenging than Rowland Hall! Returning to Utah after graduation, the alumni community has enabled me to stay connected with the school and has provided additional opportunities for involvement. My teachers truly impacted me in a way that still affects me today, and I'm so happy that the alumni events enable me to stay in touch with all of them, even over a decade after graduation. I couldn't recommend Rowland Hall more for parents who are seeking a healthy, challenging and inclusive environment for their children.

My two children have been at Rowland Hall since kindergarten and are now an SR and FR.... we could not ask for more from a school. They are supported by a faculty that is academically strong but more importantly, caring and inclusive. My son is more than ready for college and the college counseling program is incredible. We have loved being a part of this school the has curricular offerings unmatched in Utah and extra curricular programs that are also top notch.

I am a grandparent of a newly admitted 7th grade student. Although I was not directly involved in the admission process the parents were very pleased with the professionalism of Rowland Hall and the people involved in admissions. It was especially positive in regards to availability and communication. The parents at no time felt that they were not kept informed about the status of the process. The admission department process was thorough but at the same time it was not cumbersome.On another note my granddaughter from day one felt accepted by the Rowland Hall faculty, staff and students. She loves the school and is so very positive about her experience

Our daughter is thriving at Rowland Hall. She loves school! We feel fortunate to be in a situation where our child genuinely *wants* to go to school each morning. In each of her eight years at Rowland Hall, she has benefitted from small class sizes, experiential learning opportunities, a diverse peer group and remarkably gifted teachers dedicated to her success. Rowland Hall offers a challenging curriculum complemented by inspiring and caring teachers who model a "love of learning" philosophy on a daily basis. We appreciate the school`s emphasis on character development and commitment to fostering community. This has instilled in her a sense of belonging and importance that manifests in a healthy balance of self-awareness and self-esteem. She is a happy kid! Our family experience has been positive and rewarding. We cannot overstate our gratitude to Rowland Hall. Highly recommend this school.

I love that Rowland Hall supports my kids in all areas, not just the academics. Ethical education, physical education and arts education all receive the attention they deserve. This is not to say the school isn't academically focused-it is!-but the school's staff and administration recognize how important it is to guide the development of the "whole child." I've been a parent here for six years, and I love it.

My son was at Rowland Hall from preschool through 12th grade. I can't imagine a better learning experience. As a very active child, each lower school teacher took the time to find a way to ensure that he did not get too distracted. The individualized attention was amazing. In addition to the learning goals we all have for our children, I wanted my son to enjoy school. He did, and I credit the creativity and commitment of the teachers for his positive attitude towards school and learning and his amazing study habits. That early experience translated to academic success in middle school,high school and beyond. He felt very prepared for his college experience and excelled. I feel very fortunate that, as a family, we were members of the RH community -- I am thankful for my son's educational experience and cherish the memories of his time there.

My children are presently enrolled in the Beginning School at Rowland Hall, where they are appropriately challenged and nurtured, such that they have developed a passion for learning at a young and critical age. The community is welcoming, supportive, and diverse. The faculty and administration are invested in the students, responsive to parents, and focused on continually improving the pedagogy and student experience. Indeed, the quality of the recently hired Lower School Head and Director of Ethical Education further reflects Rowland Hall's commitment to improvement. Rowland Hall students demonstrate a refreshing level maturity and confidence in each division, enjoy their peers, matriculate to excellent colleges and universities, and perform well in new environments. I am also an alumnus of Rowland Hall and believe that, in comparison to when I graduated, it is an even stronger institution now.

I cannot say enough about our experience at Rowland Hall. We have two children who started in the Beginning School, are currently in the Lower School, and we plan for them to graduate from Rowland Hall. We were drawn to the school because of their small class sizes, strong academic curriculum, and beautiful facility. We have stayed at Rowland Hall because of their amazing teaching staff, the school's constant efforts to strengthen the student learning experience, and the wonderful inclusive community. One of the many strengths of the school is their amazing faculty. I'm always amazed by how well they know each child, but also how well they bring out the best in each individual. I feel like the school does a great job in building individuals who are strong critical thinkers, but also individuals who love to learn. My children LOVE going to school at Rowland Hall and as a parent, I feel that this school is the best investment and best fit for our children.

Six years ago my husband and I had an opportunity to move anywhere in Utah so we underwent an extensive search of all private and public schools within the state. After a comprehensive search, analysis and discussion with parents and faculty, we chose Rowland Hall for our three young children due to its academic rigor, its focus on tailoring the educational experience to each child and the strong community. As we reflect on the decision for our now sixth grader, fifth grader and 2nd grader, we feel even more confident in our decision. Not only are our children appropriately progressing academically, they are evolving into curious, independent-minded young adults with a strong work and moral ethic.

We've had two children go through Rowland Hall for 14 years. The school excels at supporting students' individual needs, helping them cultivate their passions, and preparing them for college. Both children are in college now and doing incredibly well due to their preparation at Rowland Hall. The primary differentiator is the quality of the teachers and the close relationships students have with the faculty. Also very strong senior leadership and incredible facilities. The only independent school in Utah playing on a national stage.

My daughter graduated Rowland Hall recently after being there from 3PreK through 12th grade. Rowland Hall is an extraordinary school. It is a caring, inclusive community with dedicated, committed teachers. They value every child, and teach the whole child. Wile rigorous on its academics, it fosters ethical thinking and behavior, and social involvement from a very early age. Students of varying abilities can play sports and be involved in dance, theater, debate and other extracurricular activities. Students who graduate are well prepared for college and for life after high school. No school is perfect for every child, but Rowland Hall is a wonderful school, and its faculty , staff and administration are always striving to improve. A great education is perhaps the most valuable thing a parent can give a child. Rowland Hall is well worth the cost!

All four of our children attend Rowland Hall, and have since 4-PreK. We love the school, but the reasons why we love it were never more evident than yesterday at parent-teacher conferences. In every meeting, it was crystal clear that the teachers knew our children - academic strengths and weaknesses, athletic and extracurricular dimensions, social issues etc. It was wonderful to hear how the teachers were pushing each child, regardless of where that child fell in the academic spectrum. Our oldest child is in the Rowmark program. He skis 6 days a week, and it is both physically and academically very demanding. We have loved seeing how seamlessly the school is able to integrate the athletic and academic schedules, and provide support for both. From our perspective, Rowmark offers the best combination of rigorous academics with an intense ski program of any ski academy in the country. We would recommend Rowland Hall to anybody, without reservation.

My 2 two children were lifers at RHM. They have both gone on to have very successful careers. I would recommend RHM without reservation to anyone considering a private school education. Money well spent.

Looking back on the 13years I attended Rowland Hall (K-12) and 6years on Rowmark Ski Academy (6-12), bring a smile to my face. Rowland Hall provided a nurturing, supportive, and academically challenging foundation to my childhood and teenage years. The writing skills I developed in the Advanced Placement English classes prepared me well for composing essays in college and writing in professional settings. My participation on the ski team and extracurricular overnight trips for interim week, freshman orientation, and in middle school each year gave me a taste of independence, developed my sense of adventure, and built my self confidence. Rowland Hall kept me focused and grounded in my teenage years and has proved to be an invaluable building block for my professional success.

The teachers at Rowland Hall are simply great teachers who help make the process of educating a child enjoyable, successful and rewarding for students and parents alike. Students are treated as individuals and given the challenges and nurturing necessary to help them thrive.

Rowland Hall has been a wonderful place for our two boys! They entered the school in 3rd and 5th grade, and we now have a sophomore and senior, so we are familiar with all 3 divisions of the school. The number one strength of the school is the faculty. The teachers and administration are all passionate about education and really like kids! When we have had any concerns, they are all taken seriously, and it has always been easy to approach both the individual teachers and the administration. In fact, they actually solicit input from parents and encourage feedback. The college counseling is superb! I''m certain no other school in the state, and few in the country, could begin to match it. Our senior was guided through the process independently and is now agonizing over which college he should choose from the amazing colleges that he was accepted to!
